About ‘Checkin' It Twice’
“Checkin’ It Twice” is the first film to premiere during Hallmark Channel’s 2023 Countdown to Christmas. The original movie stars Kim Matula and Kevin McGarry. In the movie, Matula’s character is a real estate agent who is facing career challenges. In an unlikely situation, she runs into a journeyman hockey player (McGarry) after he is hit with a career change of his own. He’s traded to another team, which happens to be based in her hometown.
The real estate agent and hockey player have many opportunities to hit things off, especially thanks to his living situation. Her family is obsessed with hockey and allows him to live in the cottage in their backyard. In this festive flick, things are sure to heat up between the two.
