About ‘Hazbin Hotel’: Season 1 Premiere
Created by Vivienne Medrano and based on her animated pilot released on YouTube in 2019 (which gained over 92 million views), the adult animated musical comedy follow Charlie, princess of Hell, who is pursuing her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. With the help of her devoted managergirlfriend, Vaggie, and despite mocking from the rest of Hell, Charlie opens a hotel in the hopes patrons will be “checking out” and heading to Heaven.
However, her plan soon attracts the attention of the powerful “Radio Demon” Alastor who, despite finding her belief in redemption laughable, wants to help Charlie run the hotel for his own amusement.
The series features original music and lyrics by Sam Haft and Andrew Underberg and stars Erika Henningsen (Broadway’s “Mean Girls”) as Charlie. Stephanie Beatriz, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Kimiko Glenn, Keith David, and Alex Brightman make up the rest of the main voice cast with additional stage and screen greats including Jeremy Jordan, Krystina Alabado, Leslie Kritzer, Brandon Rodgers, Christan Borle, Darren Criss, Patina Miller, James Monrole Iglehart, Lilli Cooper, Sarah Stiles, and more.
