About Jennifer Lopez's 'This Is Me... Now'
Jennifer Lopez’s “This Is Me…Now” is described as bringing unprecedented rawness and vulnerability to the discussion of her life and career. A star for nearly 39 years, JLo has crafted a powerful and heartfelt homage in the new film that she hopes reflects the profound beauty of true love and the strength of the human spirit.
After recording her latest album, also titled “This Is Me… Now,” Lopez reverse-engineered the songs into an abstract biography that reflects the sometimes harrowing journey of her life and career. The film hopes to tell the star’s real story, as she shares a piece of her soul via her own inimitable style.
“This Is Me… Now” was written by Jennifer Lopez, her husband Ben Affleck, and Matt Walton. JLo, Dave Meyers, and Chris Shafer initially created the story and Meyers directs. Both the album and film version of “This Is Me… Now” will be available on Friday, Feb. 16.
