College student Tadashi “Hachi” Inukai (played by Hayato Sano) is tired of feeling like a loser and wants to find a girlfriend. But that all changes when he accidentally conducts a mysterious ritual that he finds online. The spell summons a demonic yokai nicknamed Izzy (Ai Yoshikawa) to the mortal plane. Bonded by magic, Hachi and Izzy must figure out how to navigate life, love, and murder.
This quirky love story takes an unexpected turn as Izzy is hellbent on exacting revenge on a family following an incident from over 500 years in the past. Filmed in Kyoto, “My Undead Yokai Girlfriend” will drop all eight episodes on Friday, March 22 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
