One of the most buzzed-about, but also divisive, movies of the year will be available to stream on Prime Video beginning on Friday, Dec. 22. “Saltburn” tells the story of a British university student who gets sucked into the seductive and extravagant lifestyle of one of his wealthy classmates. In this star-studded film from Academy Award winner Emerald Fennell, audiences get a glimpse into the biting but beautiful world of privilege and desire. Don’t miss the film that will certainly be a contender for some of the biggest prizes this award season. You can watch with a 30-Day Free Trial of Amazon Prime Video.
About 'Saltburn'
Set in 2006, struggling to fit in among the more affluent and refined students at Oxford University, Oliver Quick (played by Barry Keoghan) begins a tumultuous friendship with the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi). After a falling out, Oliver is hit with a personal tragedy, that inspires Felix to invite him to spend the summer at his family’s estate, Saltburn.
From there, Oliver quickly bonds with Felix’s family, but there is something much darker underneath the surface of Oliver’s visit to Saltburn. The sorted tale of seduction, lies, betrayal, and murder is shocking, but critics and audiences have argued whether the twists and turns are more artistic or salacious. You can stream the film now and make your own decision.
In addition to Keoghan and Elordi, the film stars Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, and Carey Mulligan.
