About ‘Them: The Scare’
The second season of “Them” returns to Los Angeles after Season 1 — subtitled “Covenant — took place in 1952 in Compton. Now, in 1991, homicide detective Dawn Reeve is investigating the brutal murder of a foster home mother that is even too gruesome for some of LA’s most hardened detectives. With the city already on edge following the police beating of unarmed motorist Rodney King caught on camera, Dawn has to navigate the investigation as both a police officer and a Black woman.
However, that gets more difficult as she seems to be getting closer to the truth only to start getting the ominous feeling that someone… or something… far more evil than she ever could have imagined is also hunting her. Will she be able to solve the murder while also protecting her family?
