About ‘Where Is Wendy Williams?’ Premiere

Produced by eOne and Creature Films, the two-night documentary event “Where Is Wendy Williams?” follows the radio personality/daytime syndicated talk show host, her health and substance abuse battles, and her comeback journey following the end of “The Wendy Williams Show” in June 2022.

Across four and a half hours, the unfiltered, intimate documentary captures Williams’ life over the past almost two years after the cancelation of her iconic show and chronicles this current phase of her life as she looks to reclaim her life and legacy in the face of continuing mental and physical health issues.

Ahead of the documentary’s premiere, the 59-year-old Williams and her team shared her diagnosis of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia for the first time after being diagnosed last year and has reportedly been working with specialists at Weill Cornell Medicine since.

The documentary will address Williams’ aphasia and FTP diagnoses, as well as her struggles with money and alcoholism in recent years. Lifetime will also drive messaging to a personalized Wendy Williams page throughout the airing of the program, which will direct viewers to a range of resources, including SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), NAMI for Mental Health Resources, and information and resources for Graves’s Disease and Lymphedema.
