‘Steeltown Murders’ Series Premiere
It’s 2002 in Port Talbot, and on hearing that the CID is looking to reopen two sexually motivated murder cases from 1973, DCI Paul Bethell jumps at the opportunity to lead the investigation. Following two vividly different timelines, we also revisit the tragic events of ‘73 to see both a small Welsh community devastated by grief, and Paul as a junior officer who is adamant not to make the same mistakes that he and the force had made once before.

‘South to Black Power’ Premiere | Max
New York Times columnist and best-selling author of “The Devil You Know: A Black Power Manifesto” Charles M. Blow sets off across the country on a personal journey. Along the way, he meets with politicians, historians, community activists, colleagues, friends, and family members to test his theory on Black Liberation, which involves a daring strategy for Black Americans to move to southern states to control legislatures and gain greater political power.
This documentary provides an incredible look inside one of the most important political movements currently underway in the United States. Marginalized for centuries, Black leaders are trying to consolidate political power and improve representation for their communities. “South to Black Power” details those efforts, and shows why such movements are necessary in the historically repressive power structures still in place today.

‘The Artful Dodger’ Series Premiere | Hulu
An irreverent follow-up to Dickens’ “Oliver Twist” exploring the adult double life of Charles Dickens’ famous prince of thieves. Set in 1850s Australia, in the lively colony of Port Victory, we meet Jack Dawkins, The Artful Dodger, who’s transferred his fast fingers as a pickpocket to the nimble skilled fingers of a surgeon. Dodger’s past returns to haunt him with the arrival of Fagin, luring him back into a world of crime.
A greater threat — to Dodger’s heart at least — is Lady Belle, the Governor’s daughter, determined to become the colony’s first female surgeon. From heists to life-and-death surgeries, from soirées to street violence, this is a tale of reinvention, betrayal, redemption, and love with a twist.

‘Colin From Accounts’ Season 1 Finale | Paramount+
Set in Sydney, Australia, and centered on Ashley (Harriet Dyer) and Gordon (Patrick Brammall), two singles who are brought together by a car accident and an injured dog. Ashley and Gordon are flawed, funny people who choose each other after being brave enough to show their true selves, scars and all, as they navigate life together. It’s a modern-day romantic love story.
All season long, viewers have laughed along with Ashley and Gordon as their relationship blossoms, with plenty of bumps along the way. But will their love survive? Can any relationship that begins with a nipple flash leading to the injuring of an innocent dog go the distance?

‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ Streaming Premiere | Disney+
Finding himself in a new era, approaching retirement, Indy wrestles with fitting into a world that seems to have outgrown him. But as the tentacles of an all-too-familiar evil return in the form of an old rival, Dr. Jones must don his hat and pick up his whip once more to make sure an ancient and powerful artifact doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
Disney has been loathe to send this film to streaming, despite it being one of the biggest box-office flops of the year. Clearly, it’s been performing better on Prime Video and other digital purchase platforms, but it makes its way to Disney+ to allow users to watch with their subscription at long last.

‘Ladies of the '80s’ Premiere | Lifetime, stream with a subscription to Philo
Five soap opera divas as they reunite to shoot the final Christmas episode of their long-running sudser. The producer and director, who happen to be old college friends, do their best to keep things on the rails but as the ladies come together, old rivalries resurface that threaten to tear the production apart.
December is Lifetime’s time to shine, as the channel is well-known for its yearly lineup of Christmas and holiday originals. Kick off the first weekend in December with this fantastic movie, which stars Morgan Fairchild along with an ensemble cast.
Sunday, Dec. 3
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers | NBC, stream with a subscription to Peacock
The NFL season rounding into September means the battle for playoff positioning is officially on. Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers were counted out of the NFC wildcard race a few weeks ago, but four straight wins (including one on Thanksgiving against the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions have the Packers back in the thick of things.
The Chiefs are 8-3 currently, but a closer look at the team reveals serious flaws, especially at the wide receiver position. Going on the road to what is sure to be a packed Lambeau Field is no gimme, especially for a Chiefs team that has seen its skill players drop 26 passes over the course of the season so far.
