Netflix Releases “Avatar: The Last Airbender” Teaser
The Gaang is back together: Netflix has released the first teaser for its highly anticipated “Avatar: The Last Airbender” live-action adaptation

Based on the hit Nickelodeon animated series of the same name, “Avatar: The Last Airbender” follows young Air Nomad Aang as he awakens to a world ravaged by war after the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out all the other Air Nomads. Now, with his newfound friends Sokka and Katara, Aang embarks on a fantastical journey to save the world, fight back against the onslaught of the Fire Lord Ozai, and take his rightful place as the next Avatar.
Gordon Cormier stars as Aang opposite Kiawentiio Tarbell, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, Daniel Dae Kim, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Ken Leung, Elizabeth Yu, and others.
“Avatar: The Last Airbender” is set for release on Netflix in 2024.
Apple TV’s Limited Series “Masters of the Air” Gets First Teaser
Apple TV+’s “Masters of the Air” is taking flight, with the first official teaser for the nine-episode limited series out now.
Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman and based on Donald L. Miller’s book of the same name, “Masters of the Air” follows the 100th Bomb Group (a.k.a. the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they conduct bombing raids over Nazi Germany as they grapple with the psychological, physical, and emotional conditions of war.

The all-star ensemble cast will be led by Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Academy Award nominee Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook, and Ncuti Gatwa.
“Masters of the Air” will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Jan. 26 with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode every Friday through March 15.
“Mr. Monk’s Last Case” Gets a Trailer
Adrian Monk is back for one final case. Peacock has released the trailer for the upcoming “Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie,” which will arrive to the streamer on Dec. 8.

Nearly 14 years since the finale of “Monk,” the new feature sees the beloved obsessive-compulsive homicide detective-turned-consultant return to solve a very personal case involving his beloved stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding.
Series stars Tony Shalhoub, Ted Levine, Jason Gray-Stanford, Traylor Howard, Melora Hardin, and Héctor Elizondo will return for the movie, with Caitlin McGee and James Purefoy joining as new principal cast members.
“Under Pressure: The U.S. Women’s World Cup Team” To Premiere Next Month
Netflix’s previously announced docu-series following the U.S. Women’s National Team’s World Cup journey has been given an official title and release date.
The four-episode “Under Pressure: The U.S. Women’s World Cup Team” will give viewers an all-access look at the National Team’s players and coaches, providing an inside look at the most decorated team in international soccer history.
Featuring veteran champions like Alex Morgan and Lindsey Horan, 18-year-old rising star Alyssa Thompson, and World Cup first-timers like Savannah DeMelo, plus the full team of athletes, coaches, and trainers, the series will a full look at the trials and tribulations of the game, from the domination that has led to four World Cup victories, to an intimate look at the individual players as they discuss issues that range from LGBTQ+ rights, equal pay, and injuries.

Max Releases Trailer for Upcoming Comedy Series “Bookie”
Weeks ahead of its premiere, Max has released the first trailer for its new comedy series “Bookie,” starring Sebastian Maniscalco.

The latest from Chuck Lorre and Nick Bakay, the dark comedy follows “veteran Los Angeles bookie Dannie as the potential legalization of sports gambling in California threatens to upend his business for good. Alongside best friend and former NFL player Ray (Omar J. Dorsey), side-hustling sister Lorraine (Vanessa Ferlito), and reluctantly reformed drug dealer Hector (Jorge Garcia), Danny must contend with his increasingly unstable clients as he tries to settle their debts – all while making plenty of risky bets of his own.”
Andrea Anders, Maxim Swinton, and Charlie Sheen round out the rest of the cast.
The eight-episode “Bookie” will premiere on Thursday, Nov. 30 on Max with two episodes, followed by two episodes every Thursday leading up to the season finale on Dec. 21.
“Blue Beetle” Comes to Max Next Week
Following its short theatrical run, Warner Bros. and DC’s “Blue Beetle” will fly to Max for a second life for its streaming premiere on Nov. 17.
The latest DCEU feature, “Blue Beetle” stars Xolo Maridueña as the titular superhero and his alter ego Jaime Reyes, a recent college graduate who returns home to find things aren’t quite how he left them. But soon fate intervenes when he unexpectedly finds himself in possession of the Scarab, an ancient relic of alien biotechnology. When the Scarab chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with a suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers.
