“The Second Best Hospital in The Galaxy” Trailer Out Now

The doctors are in! Prime Video has released the official trailer for the upcoming adult animated series “The Second Best Hospital in The Galaxy,” coming to the platform late next month.

The new series, produced by Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne, and Danielle Renfrew Behrens’ Animal Pictures, follows Dr. Sleech (voiced by Stephanie Hsu) and Dr. Klak (Keke Palmer), two alien best friends-slash-intergalactically renowned surgeons in the business of rare illnesses, including anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs.

In addition to Hsu and Palmer, the voice cast will feature Rudolph, Lyonne, Kieran Culkin, Sam Smith, and more. Tracee Ellis Ross, Bowen Yang, Abbi Jacobson, Jay Ellis, Andrew Dismukes, Lennon Parham, Gary Anthony Williams, and John Waters will also make guest appearances throughout the first season, as will a collection of Culkins (Macaulay Culkin, Rory Culkin, Christian Culkin, and Shane Culkin siblings opposite Kieran. The series has already been renewed for a second season.

“The Second Best Hospital in The Galaxy” will premiere all eight episodes on Feb. 23 exclusively on Prime Video.


Season 2 of “Time,” Starring Jodie Whittaker and Bella Ramsey, Debuts on BritBox in March

Following its BBC One run, Season 2 of the award-winning British prison anthology series “Time” will soon head to BritBox.

The Last of Us” star and former Time Lord Jodie Whitaker (“Doctor Who”) headline the anthology series, which, over each season presents a new scenario following the lives of inmates and staff in His Majesty’s Prison Service. Season 2 follows Orla (Jodie Whittaker), a single mother serving her first sentence; Abi (Tamara Lawrance, “King Charles III”) who is incarcerated for life, and Kelsey (Bella Ramsey), a pregnant heroin addict and repeat offender, who begin their respective sentences at a women’s prison. Sophie Willan, Julie Graham, Alicia Forde, Lisa Millett, Faye McKeever, Kayla Meikle, James Corrigan, Nicholas Nunn, and Maimuna Memon make up the supporting cast.

The first season of the series, which starred Sean Bean and Stephen Graham, was nominated for and won multiple 2022 BAFTA TV Awards, including Best Mini-Series and Best Actor for Bean.

Season 2 of “Time” will premiere on BritBox on March 27.


Prime Video’s “Ricky Stanicky” Gets First Trailer

Seeing is believing: Prime Video has released its first trailer for the long-awaited “Ricky Stanicky,” starring Zac Efron, Andrew Santino, Jermaine Fowler, and John Cena.

Directed by Peter Farrelly, the story follows three childhood best friends who create imaginary friend Ricky to get them out of trouble when a prank goes wrong. Now, 20 years later, Dean, J.T., and Wes (Efron, Santino, Fowler) still use Ricky as an alibi for their immature behavior, but when their partners get suspicious and demand to finally meet the legendary Mr. Stanicky, the trio hire washed-up actor and raunchy celebrity impersonator “Rock Hard” Rod (John Cena) to bring him to life.

The comedy feature has long been in development, with James Franco, Joaquin Phoenix, and Jim Carrey all attached to the fabled fall guy at some point. The cast will also feature William H. Macy, Lex Scott Davis, and Anja Savcic.

“Ricky Stanicky” will premiere on Prime Video on March 7.


Prime Video Acquires Celine Dion Documentary

This time, she’s all by herself and it’s all about her. Amazon MGM Studios has announced its acquisition of the feature-length documentary “I Am: Celine Dion.”

Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Irene Taylor (“The Final Inch”), the intimate film follows Dion through her past and present, capturing the global megastar’s record-setting 40-year career (which has resulted in over 250 million albums sold, five Grammy Awards, two Oscars, and more) up until present day as she continues a private-until-now battle with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).

The Sony Music Vision documentary will be available to stream on Prime Video at a later date to be announced.


New Promo for “Halo” Season 2 Released

In Season 2 of Paramount+’s “Halo,” Master Chief and his Spartans must fight as one.

The series adaptation of the popular video game franchise has released a new teaser video in preparation for its upcoming second season.

Pablo Schreiber leads the cast as Master Chief John-117, who unable to shake the feeling the Covenant, an alien threat, is preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold, embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation (or its extinction): the Halo, a mysterious alien structure.

In addition to regulars Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, and others, Joseph Morgan, Cristina Rodlo, and Christina Bennington join the cast of the second season

“Halo” will return for its second season on Feb. 8 with the first two episodes available at premiere followed by a new episode every Thursday through March 21.
