As the calendar turns to October, BritBox is adding even more Brit hits to its platform. It’s a big month at the British entertainment streamer for fans of Olivia Colman, with the Oscar winner starring in two of the soon-to-be-available titles: the Emmy-winning serial “The Night Manager” led by Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie and “Flowers,” the Channel 4 black dramedy.

The Sixth Commandment” | Wednesday, Oct. 4

Timothy Spall and Anne Reid star as Peter Farquhar and Ann Moore-Martin in the British true-crime drama that explores their deaths and subsequent events, including the 2019 criminal trial of Ben Field. Éanna Hardwicke, Annabel Scholey, Sheila Hancock, Ben Bailey Smith, Conor MacNeill, Adrian Rawlings, and Amanda Root also star. After debuting on BBC One earlier this year, the critically acclaimed four-part series makes its North American premiere on BritBox.

Lost in Austen” | Tuesday, Oct. 10

ITV’s four-part fantasy series “Lost in Austen” returns to BritBox this month. An adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice,” the series follows Amanda, a young woman living in modern London, who enters the plot of the novel through a portal in her bathroom and joins the Bennet family, affecting events (often disastrously). Jemima Rooper, Elliot Cowan, Alex Kingston, Tom Mison, Hugh Bonneville, Morven Christie, Tom Riley, and Perdita Weeks lead the ensemble.

The Night Manager” | Thursday, Oct. 12

Based on the novel of the same title by John le Carré, “The Night Manager” stars Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine, a former military officer and night manager of a luxury hotel in Cairo who is recruited by the manager of a Foreign Office task force investigating illegal arms sales to infiltrate the inner circle of arms dealer Richard “Dicky” Roper (Hugh Laurie). Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, Elizabeth Debicki, Alistair Petrie, Natasha Little, Douglas Hodge, and others make up the cast of the espionage thriller, which won two Primetime Emmys after its runs on both BBC and AMC.

Flowers” | Tuesday, Oct. 24

The two-season Channel 4 series comes to BritBox for the first time this month. The black dramedy sitcom follows the Flowers family, which consists of depressed father and children’s author Maurice (played by Julian Barratt); music teacher wife Deborah (Olivia Colman); their 25-year-old twin children: inventor son Donald (Daniel Rigby) and musician daughter Amy (Sophia Di Martino); Maurice’s senile mother Hattie (Leila Hoffman); and Maurice’s illustrator Shun (Will Sharpe, who also created and wrote the series).

Being Human” | Monday, Oct. 30

A ghost, a werewolf, and a vampire walk into modern society in the supernatural dramedy “Being Human.” BritBox will bring all five seasons of the series, which follows Annie Sawyer (Andrea Riseborough, later Lenora Crichlow), George Sands (Russell Tovey), and John Mitchell (Guy Flanagan, later Aidan Turner), sharing a home and attempting to blend in with ordinary humans to live a “normal” life. Sinead Keenan, Michael Socha, Damien Molony, Kate Bracken, and Steven Robertson also star in the series throughout its five-season run.
