Rap Sh!t” Season 2 | Thursday, Nov. 9

Issa Rae is back on her “Rap Sh!t,” with the critically acclaimed comedy heading to California for its second season. Aida Osman and rapper-actor KaMillion lead the series as Mia and Shawna, a pair of high school friends who reunite to create a rap group. Jonica Booth, RJ Cyler, Daniel Augustin, and Devon Terrell lead the principal cast with Jacob Romero and Kyle Bary joining in recurring roles in the second season, which will premiere on Nov. 9 for a new episode every week through Dec. 21.

Albert Brooks: Defending My Life” | Saturday, Nov. 11

Filmmaker Rob Reiner sets the spotlight on one of his dearest and funniest friends: Albert Brooks. The new feature documentary will chronicle Brooks’ career as a writer, director, stand-up, and more and, through interviews with comedy legends and cultural luminaries, explore his inspirations, evolution, and impact.

Julia” Season 2 | Thursday, Nov. 16

Sarah Lancashire leads the dramedy as the famous chef and personality Julia Child, who, in the show’s sophomore season, is grappling with her rising fame now that her trailblazing show has made it to air. David Hyde Pierce stars opposite Lancashire with Bebe Neuwirth, Brittany Bradford, Fran Kranz, Fiona Glascott, and Robert Joy. The eight-episode second season will debut with three new episodes, followed by one episode weekly through Dec. 21.

Little Richard: I Am Everything” | Wednesday, Nov. 22

CNN Films’ Lisa Cortés skips over the whitewashed canon of American pop music to explore the real story of rock ‘n’ roll and its Black queer origins with one man at the center of its innovations: the never-duplicated Richard Penniman, a.k.a Little Richard. In addition to archive footage, the documentary features talking-head interviews from Billy Porter, John Waters, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Nike Rodgers, and more.

“Bookie” | Thursday, Nov. 30

“The King of Sitcoms” Chuck Lorre returns to the small screen with his latest creation: the eight-episode “Bookie.” Stand-up comic and actor Sebastian Maniscalco (“The Irishman”) will play “a veteran bookie struggling to survive the impending legalization of sports gambling, increasingly unstable clients, family, and co-workers,” starring opposite Vanessa Ferlito, Andrea Anders, Jorge Garcia, Omar J. Dorsey, Maxim Swinton, Charlie Sheen, and more.

When young Buddy falls into Santa’s gift sack on Christmas Eve, he’s transported back to the North Pole and raised as a toy-making elf by Santa’s helpers.
