The calendar will soon switch to January and Paramount+ will say goodbye to the holidays and ring in the new season: awards. The road to the Oscars is now in full force, and Paramount+ will bring glitz and glam to its Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers on Sunday, Jan. 7 with the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards, celebrating the best of this past year’s film and television, including “Maestro,” “Barbie,” “The Color Purple,” “Succession,” “The Bear,” and more.

But if you’re starry-eyed for more than just statuettes, the streamer is adding dozens of originals and library titles alike, including the new British comedy series “Sexy Beast” and this year’s critically acclaimed “You Hurt My Feelings” starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

The Changemakers | Monday, Jan. 1

Paramount+ will debut all eight episodes of its new docuseries, which centers in on the work of remarkable activists and their respective communities. Episodes span issues in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ghana, Denmark, and Lithuania, as community figures such as Seán Binder, Trinice McNally, Dr. Waheed Arian, and Flavia Broffoni fight for recognition and equity on causes from mental healthcare, clean water and overfishing, cost of living, and LGBTQ+ rights.


The Golden Globe Awards | Sunday, Jan. 7 (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT)

Deemed “Hollywood’s Biggest Party,” the Golden Globes will give a first glance at what we might be able to expect at this year’s Oscars with 2023’s biggest hits like “Barbie,” which is the second most-nominated film in the 81-year history of the ceremony (after “Cabaret”) with its 10 nods. On the television side, recurring favorites like “Succession” and “The Crown” lead the pack, though Paramount+ and Showtime are celebrating with a handful of nominees of their own, such as “Yellowjackets,” “Fellow Travelers,” “The Curse,” “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” and “1923.” The ceremony will be available to stream live for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

“June” | Tuesday, Jan. 16

Emmy winner Kristen Vaurio (“Going Clear: Scientology And The Prison Of Belief”) puts the spotlight on the regularly overshadowed June Carter Cash, documenting the life and career of the country singer-songwriter and ground-breaker. Featuring archival footage and interviews from Carter, as well as her family and famous friends such as Dolly Parton, Reese Witherspoon, and Willie Nelson, the new documentary will celebrate the history of country music and the impact both halves of the duo had on the industry.


Sexy Beast” | Thursday, Jan. 25

The 2000 film “Sexy Beast” gets a prequel with the new eight-episode series with James McArdle and Emun Elliott playing the younger versions of best friends and London thieves Gal Dove and Don Logan, respectively. Sarah Greene co-stars as the alluring adult film star Deedee, with whom Gal begins a dangerous romance, and Stephen Moyer, Stanley Morgan, Eliza Bennett, Sophia La Porta, Paul Thornley, Michael Obiora, and more make up the ensemble cast.


You Hurt My Feelings” | Friday, Jan. 26

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tobias Menzies co-star in the 2023 dramedy about Beth, a successful memoirist whose long-standing marriage suddenly turns upside down when she overhears her husband give his honest reaction to her debut novel. Michaela Watkins, Arian Moayed, Owen Teague, Jeannie Berlin, Amber Tamblyn, David Cross, Zach Cherry, Sarah Steele, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and others flesh out the A24 film.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Four turtles fall into the sewers and are befriended by Hamato Yoshi a Japanese man sent to New York who was forced to live in the sewers. One day he sees a strange green glow which transforms the four turtles into human-like creatures.
