This month, make a note of the streaming premiere of the 2023’s “Memory,” starring Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard, arriving on the first of the month exclusively for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers.
Paramount+ will also add over 100 film titles to its collection this month, including “Boyz N' The Hood,” “Grease,” “Trainspotting,” and everything in between. Like “Memory,” many of the titles are only available with a subscription to a Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan, but you can sign up for the tier with a seven-day free trial ($11.99 per month after the trial period).
On the TV side, among the Paramount+ Originals joining the streamer’s library this month are the two-part music and activism docuseries “Melissa Etheridge: I'm Not Broken,” the final season of “Kamp Koral: Spongebob's Under Years,” and more.

“Memory” | Monday, July 1
The Venice International Film Festival Golden Lion entrant comes to Paramount+ with Showtime after its limited theatrical release. Written and directed by Michel Franco, the story follows Sylvia, a single mother and social worker who leads a simple, structured life but is grappling with her past. At her high school reunion, she is followed home by Saul (Peter Sarsgaard), a former classmate with early onset dementia, blowing open the door to the past that forces them both to deal with the past.
Merritt Wever, Brooke Timber, Elsie Fisher, Josh Charles, and Jessica Harper make up the supporting cast. While the film lost out on the Golden Lion (to Yorgos Lanthimos’ Oscar-winning “Poor Things”), Sarsgaard won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor.

“The National Parks” | Wednesday, July 3
Paramount+ celebrated Earth Day this past April by becoming the first official streaming partner of the National Park Foundation, bringing subscribers livestreams and additional video from around the country’s varied iconic national parks. The service will add more to its collection on July 3, providing the perfect way to celebrate the Fourth of July in America’s most beautiful destinations (without having to leave your couch).
“Melissa Etheridge: I'm Not Broken” | Tuesday, July 9
Music meets service in this two-part docuseries from Grammy-winning rock star and activist Melissa Etheridge, tackling the subjects of female incarceration, redemption, substance abuse, generational trauma, grief, and healing. Directed by Brian Morrow and Amy Scott, the project, which had its world premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film & TV Festival two weeks ago, focuses on five female residents from the Topeka Correctional Facility, a women’s prison in Kansas, who wrote letters to Etheridge that she then used as inspiration to create and perform an original song for them. “Kamp Koral: Spongebob's Under Years” Season 2 | Wednesday, July 10
SpongeBob and friends say goodbye to Kamp Koral in the second and final season of the Nickelodeon animated prequel series. The alternate continuity series follows a 10-year-old SpongeBob and his friends Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks, counselors, and teachers (including camp owner Mr. Krabs and baby daughter Pearl, junior counselor Squidward Tentacles, scoutmaster Mrs. Puff, and more) at the title summer sleepaway camp.
The parent series’ voice cast, including Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence, Mr. Lawrence, Mary Jo Catlett, Jill Talley, and Lori Allen, all reprise their roles in the prequel/spinoff series.

“Mafia Spies” | Tuesday, July 16
One of America’s most unbelievable espionage and crime stories gets an all-new six-part docuseries based on Thomas Maier’s “Mafia Spies: The Inside Story of the CIA, Gangsters, JFK, and Castro.” Go inside the real and dangerous world of spies, gangsters, honeypots, mistresses, and more that revealed a hidden conspiracy between the CIA and the Chicago mob to assassinate Fidel Castro at a critical time in the Cold War.
Using recently declassified material, first-person and historian/journalist interviews, and more, the immersive series will put together a play-by-play account of the international cat-and-mouse game that pitted America’s most powerful politicians against the 20th century’s most notorious gangsters.
