New year, new month, new titles to watch at Prime Video! The streamer has kicked off January 2024 in fashion with plenty of classic titles that were released on the first of the month, including 2007’s “No Country for Old Men” and Quentin Tarantino’s hit “Pulp Fiction,” but the best is still yet to come this month, including Lula Wang’s highly anticipated miniseries “Expats,” the A24-produced adult animated musical comedy series “Hazbin Hotel,” and much more.

Role Play” | Friday, Jan. 12

The new action-thriller comedy stars Kaley Cuoco as Emma, a suburban New Jersey woman with a wonderful husband, two kids, and a secret life as an assassin for hire. When her husband David (David Oyelowo) decides to spice up their marriage with a little role play, the secret comes out. Connie Nielsen, Bill Nighy, Rudi Dharmalingam, and Simon Delaney make up the supporting cast.

Zorro” | Friday, Jan. 19

The Spanish-language Original stars Miguel Bernardeau as Diego de la Vega, a.k.a. Zorro, who returns to California to avenge his father’s murder. Between his struggle with Nah-Lin, a Native American who he believes has stolen his inheritance, and a confrontation with the Governor, the malevolent leader of the Chinese community and a secret society, Zorro will need to sacrifice love for the common good (and for revenge). Renata Notni, Rodolfo Sancho, Dalia Xiuhcoatl, Paco Tous, Peter Vives, Elia Galera, Andrés Almeida, Emiliano Zurita, and others make up the ensemble.

Hazbin Hotel” | Friday, Jan. 19

Following a successful YouTube pilot in 2019, “Hazbin Hotel” is getting a full-length series, complete with song and dance. The adult animated musical comedy follows Charlie Morningstar, princess of hell, as she purues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons at her Hell-based hotel. Featuring original music and lyrics by Sam Haft and Andrew Underberg, the voice cast is led by Erika Henningsen and features additional stage and screen stars Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Christian Borle, Joel Perez, Darren Criss, Jeremy Jordan), Daphne Rubin-Vega, Patina Miller, and Jessica Vosk.

LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland” | Friday, Jan. 19

Who will get the last laugh? Graham Norton will host the comedy competition series, which will see 10 of Ireland’s finest (Aisling Bea, Amy Huberman, Catherine Bohart, David McSavage, Deirdre O’Kane, Emma Doran, Jason Byrne, Martin Angolo, Paul Tylak, and Tony Cantwell) try to make each other laugh by using every unpredictable comedic tool in the box without cracking a smile themselves to be crowned the first winner of “LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland” and bring home €50,000 for their charity of choice.

Expats” | Friday, Jan. 26

The Farewell” filmmaker Lulu Wang’s highly anticipated follow-up “Expats,” based on the best-selling novel “The Expatriates” by Janice Y. K. Lee, stars Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, Ji-young Yoo, Brian Tee, and Jack Huston. Set in 2014 in Hong Kong, where the lives of three American women (Kidman, Blue, Yoo) intersect after a sudden family tragedy, “interrogat[ing] privilege and explor[ing] what happens when the line between victimhood and culpability becomes blurred.” The six-episode miniseries wraps on Feb. 23.
