Verizon Launching New Home Internet Packages with Streaming Bundles

Viewers can choose to bundle on-demand streaming as well as pay-TV plans in Verizon’s new myHome offering.

Survey after survey regarding the current state of streaming has made one thing very clear: customers want more bundles. It’s not just streaming combinations that consumers are hungry for either; people want the ability to combine entertainment with home internet and even mobile phone plans to cut down on the number of bills they have to keep track of every month. Thankfully, Verizon is here to help. The telco giant has announced that it will soon begin offering new “myHome” internet packages that include both on-demand streamers like Max and Disney+, as well as live TV streaming options such as YouTube TV.

Key Details:

  • Customers will be able to choose from multiple streaming options when they sign up for a myHome plan.
  • Verizon says the price of a myHome bundle will be guaranteed for up to four years, and will not come with equipment fees.
  • Customer surveys indicate Verizon is one of the most trusted brands to provide bundles.
Verizon's myHome internet package allows viewers to choose on-demand and live TV options if they wish.

The new myHome internet packages from Verizon will allow viewers to consolidate entertainment costs with high-speed internet, with prices starting at $35 per month depending on which extras are chosen. Shoppers will start by picking a home internet plan, choosing from Verizon Fios, 5G Home or LTE Home options.

Then customers get to choose their streaming plans. Verizon is offering a choice between YouTube TV or its own Fios TV plans (where available), or buyers can decide to forgo a live TV service that offers cable channels. On the on-demand front, Variety reports viewers will be able to pick from a unique Disney Bundle option (Disney+ with no ads, Hulu with ads and ESPN+), or the bundle of Netflix and Max that went on sale in late 2023. Both of those options will cost $10 per month, significantly less than customers would pay to get the respective services within the bundles separately. Viewers can also choose to add a Walmart+ subscription with its free access to Paramount+ or YouTube Premium, and options from Apple that will include Apple TV+ are expected to launch later this summer.

“Verizon is one of the most recognizable brands,” said Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg. “By listening to our customers, we continue to significantly evolve our offerings and brand promise to connect people when it matters most on our reliable network. We never stop pushing the industry forward and delivering more value to all of our customers. This next chapter is a continuation of our journey of service and innovation.”

Which Streaming Options Should myHome Customers Pick?

One report says that Verizon will offer a new version of the Disney Bundle with ad-free Disney+.

A recent survey fielded by Hub Research found that Verizon is the fourth-most preferred brand for providing a streaming/internet bundle. The four-year price guarantee makes the myHome option quite appealing, and once it becomes available it could be worth a long look.

But which streaming service (or services) should you include in your myHome bundle? That Disney option is incredibly appealing in my eyes, if Variety’s report on the offering is accurate. Normally, customers who sign up for the Disney Bundle cannot mix and match ad-supported or ad-free plans; they must choose between all ad-free or all ad-supported. Given that most Hulu titles are now available to watch on Disney+ for viewers that have subscriptions to both, the ability to watch ad-free on Disney+ will be a distinct advantage, especially if the bundle costs just $10 per month.

On the live TV front, viewers will want to compare Fios TV and YouTube TV carefully to see which offers the best lineup of channels for their needs in their area. Fios TV plans range in price from $69 per month to $129 and is only offered in select locations, while YouTube TV costs $72.99 and is available to all viewers with an internet connection.

Viewers want more ways to aggregate their internet and entertainment bills, and Verizon is clearly paying attention. Customers shopping for a new home internet plan should keep an eye out for Verizon’s myHome bundle, which will be available to new and returning Verizon subscribers.
