The Ex-Wife” | Thursday, Jan. 11

Initially released on Paramount+ in the United States, the psychological thriller based on Jess Ryder’s novel of the same name and adapted by “Downton” Abbey actor Catherine Steadman follows Tasha, a young woman living an idyllic life with a perfect house, a loving husband, and a beautiful daughter. However, her husband’s ex-wife will not leave their family alone, intent on staying in the picture, and when Tasha returns home one day to find her life turned upside down, she soon realizes her dream has turned into a nightmare. Céline Buckens leads the cast of the four-episode limited series as Tasha opposite Tom Mison, Janet Montgomery, Jordan Stephens, Clare Foster, and more.

Better” | Thursday, Jan. 18

The five-part crime thriller and latest collaboration from Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent (“Humans”) stars Leila Farzad as D.I. Lou Slack, a corrupt police officer on a path toward redemption after bringing down Col McHugh (Andrew Buchan), the man she has come to love like a brother and the man she has helped place at the head of Leeds criminal underworld. But Lou’s biggest battles are done, and every redemption comes at a cost. Samuel Edward-Cook, Zak Ford-Williams, Olivia Nakintu, Cel Spellman, and Anton Lesser also star in the BBC One drama.

Irvine Welsh’s “Crime” Season 2 | Thursday, Jan. 25

BritBox’s Original Scottish crime series from “Trainspotting” novelist Irvine Welsh is back for a highly anticipated second season. Dougray Scott, who won the International Emmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor for the first season, returns in the lead role of D.I. Ray Lennox, a troubled detective who is ready to return to the fray at the Edinburgh Serious Crimes division and prove he is fully recovered from his recent breakdown, only to find it’s all changed in the aftermath of the case that caused it. But when one of Lennox’s former colleagues is attacked, he and Drummond (Joanna Vanderham) become embroiled in a case about vengeance, identity, and social justice. Ken Stott,  John Simm, Derek Riddell, and Gabriel Scott will also appear in the six-part second season.
