Are any on-demand streamers carrying college bowl games?
Most of these bowl games are only set to be available on linear channels, but there are a few that can be streamed with on-demand services. All games appearing on TNT will be available to stream on Max through its Bleacher Report Sports add-on, and any that are on CBS will be available to stream live on Paramount+ specifically on the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME tier.
What are the best ways to watch college football bowl games?
Top pick: Sling TV
Sling TV is our favorite pick for watching college football bowl games this year. This streamer doesn’t carry CBS anywhere, but there’s only one bowl game to watch on the channel this year, and you can bundle Sling with Paramount+ with SHOWTIME to watch that. Sling does carry ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3 everywhere, so you can watch any games on ABC through the ESPN3 simulcast. All plans offer TNT, and viewers can watch Fox in more than 15 markets with a Sling subscription.
Sling plans start at $40 per month, though the streamer is raising the cost of a base package subscription to $46 as of Dec. 20. Even so, it’s a fantastic value for the amount of content you get, including a huge selection of 2024 college football bowl games.
Sling TV
Sling TV is The Streamable’s choice for cord cutters on a budget. Sling is a live TV streaming service with multiple channel packages. The $45.99/month Sling Orange plan offers about 30 channels, including Disney Channel and ESPN. The $45.99/month Sling Blue plan offers about 40 channels, including ABC, Fox, and NBC in major markets.
You can combine Orange+Blue for a total of $60.99 / month. Sling also offers many channel add-on packages starting at $6/month.
Runner up: Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV is our runner-up to Sling, and it’s a good one. The streamer carries local broadcast channels like ABC, CBS, The CW, and Fox in most major markets, as well as the ESPN channels and TNT. Its packages start at $83 per month after a three-day free trial, but they also include free access to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ for watching more live college sports events.
Hulu Live TV
Hulu Live TV is a live TV streaming service with more than 70 channels for $82.99/month. Hulu + Live TV base plan includes local channels, 33 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs). Subscribers get free access to Disney+ and ESPN+ at no extra charge.
Host with the most channels: DIRECTV STREAM
DIRECTV STREAM is one of the few services that offers all 35 of The Streamable’s top cable channels in select packages. Its plans start at $87 per month after a five-day trial, and customers in most markets will get local broadcast networks that host college bowl games as part of their subscription. ESPN networks and TNT are also available in all DIRECTV STREAM plans.
DIRECTV STREAM
DIRECTV STREAM is The Streamable’s choice for the best live TV streaming service for users who want the most channels. With an unbeatable lineup of local, news, sports, and entertainment channels, four main channel packages, an unlimited DVR, and 20 simultaneous streams at home, DIRECTV STREAM is a great choice for any cord-cutter.
Great for sports lovers: Fubo
Fubo doesn’t carry TNT, so you’ll have to bundle it with Max to get any college football bowl games on that channel. Nevertheless, you can stream local broadcast channels and ESPN with your subscription in most markets, and plans start at $80 per month. Viewers can now sign up to Fubo and skip the regional sports networks, or add another $15 per month to get them included in the streamer’s Pro plan.
Fubo
Fubo is a live TV streaming service with about 90 top channels that start at $79.99 per month. This plan includes local channels, 19 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs). In total, you should expect to pay about $94.99 per month, after adding in their RSN Fee. Fubo was previously known as “fuboTV.”
Last pick: YouTube TV
YouTube TV isn’t a bad pick at all for watching the 2024 -25 college football bowl season. It carries local channels in most areas, and has ESPN and TNT everywhere. It starts at $83 per month, so it can’t compete with Sling or Fubo’s Essential plan on price. It also doesn’t have any free services bundled in the price, and its free trial varies in length depending on what time of month you sign up.
YouTube TV
YouTube TV is a live TV streaming service with more than 60 channels for $82.99/month. This plan includes local channels, 32 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs) in select markets. The service includes an unlimited DVR. The Streamable does not recommend YouTube TV. Consider DIRECTV STREAM for a better channel lineup or Hulu Live TV for its free Disney Bundle.
