Altitude, Local Home to Denver Nuggets & Colorado Avalanche, to Come to Streaming For First Time
Now Every Regional Sports Network to Be Available to Stream By a Live TV Streaming Service
Altitude, the TV home of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche regional game telecasts is now available on AT&T TV and AT&T TV NOW, The Streamable has learned. This will bring regional telecasts of live regular season games of both the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets, as well as other ancillary programing and behind the scenes content.
With the addition of Altitude, every Regional Sports Network will available on at least on Live TV Streaming Service.
This comes just weeks after AT&T added six new Regional Sports Networks: NESN, AT&T SportsNet Southwest, AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain, ROOT Sports Northwest, and MASN.
Some AT&T TV NOW customers have told us that they’ve seen Altitude appear in their guide, but the content is not yet available to stream.
Altitude won’t come cheap, however.
AT&T has confirmed to us that to access Altitude you will either need AT&T TV NOW Max ($80) or AT&T TV Choice ($65 + Fees). Those on the legacy “Go Big” and “Gotta Have It” plans will also get the channel.
But, for sports fans, who don’t want TV with a contract or extra RSN fee, with AT&T TV NOW there is at least now an option to watch games locally on Altitude.

Altitude is has been in prolonged contract disputes with Dish Network and Comcast, which has left them without major carriage through the Denver market. They had a six week blackout with DirecTV, which was resolved at the beginning of November.
Altitude was not originally expected to come to AT&T TV NOW, but it seems like the company is now prioritizing streaming deals. Last week, Altitude CEO Matt Hutchins said, “Altitude is actively pursuing O.T.T. (Over-The-Top) streaming distribution deals that would expand and augment Altitude’s coverage.”
At the time, we said “since Altitude distribution has been knocked to basically zero, they might have to reconsider offering the channel to streamers.”
While other Live TV Streaming Services are dropping Regional Sports Networks, AT&T continues to add them, making them an interesting option (albeit expensive) for sports fans. But after over a year of subscriber losses, with sports being the main driver to keep your cable bundle, at least AT&T TV NOW is starting to understand who is the right customer for their service.
In April, AT&T added Spectrum Sportsnet and Spectrum Sportsnet LA to bring Lakers and Dodgers games to local streaming for the first time.

fuboTV, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV offer regional sports networks (RSNs) in their base plans. AT&T TV NOW requires an upgrade plan to access RSNs.
