How to watch 2025 MLB spring training games
MLB spring training kicks off Thursday, Feb. 20, and we’ll show you how to watch your favorite club this year.
Major League Baseball teams are headed to Arizona and Florida this week, as the 2025 spring training cycle is about to begin. Spring training games start on Thursday, Feb. 20 when the Chicago Cubs take on the reigning world champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
As per usual in 2025, a huge number of spring training games won’t be offered on national television channels. Regional sports networks (RSNs) will carry some, while the out-of-market service MLB.TV will distribute hundreds of others.
We’ll break down the best way to stream your favorite club’s spring training games below! Whether it’s a live TV streaming service like DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo, or a subscription to MLB.TV, we’ll show you the easiest way to see spring training games from every team in the league.

ESPN will present four MLB spring training games in early March, giving fans an early peek into what they can expect from marquee clubs like the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. It’s not a huge lineup of games, but you can see the schedule here!
| Date | Time (ET) | Matchup | Channel |
|---|---|---|---|
| March 3 | 1 p.m. | Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles | ESPN |
| March 4 | 1 p.m. | New York Mets vs. St. Louis Cardinals | ESPN |
| March 5 | 1 p.m. | Philadelphia Phillies vs. Detroit Tigers | ESPN |
| March 6 | 1 p.m. | Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees | ESPN |
In addition to the games on ESPN, MLB.TV will carry more than 250 out-of-market spring training games this year. Blackout restrictions still apply with this service, so you won’t be able to watch your in-market club’s games reliably by going this route. If you just want a look around the league, or your club is in a different market from where you reside, you can watch on MLB.TV starting at $30 per month.

What’s the cheapest way to watch your local team’s MLB spring training games?
MLB spring training games are also found on the regional sports networks (RSNs) that partner with clubs to distribute their regular season games. Unfortunately for fans, that means there’s no one-size-fits-all solution to watch spring training games; every team will have a different method of offering games at the lowest possible price.
Most live TV streaming services don’t carry FanDuel Sports Network (formerly Bally Sports) channels, but there are two that will let fans whose teams appear on those channels stream them without a linear cable subscription. More clubs than ever before are having MLB distribute their games directly this year, and thus have special in-market plans for MLB.TV available starting at $20 per month.
