About 2023 WNBA Finals, Las Vegas Aces vs. New York Liberty

The Aces are the defending WNBA champions, and are returning to the Finals for their third time in four seasons. The team clearly has the word “dynasty” in mind, and team leaders Candace Parker and A’ja Wilson have plenty of experience on the biggest stage. If the Aces can take down the Liberty, the rest of the league will officially be on notice that they have some serious work to do to catch up with the team.

The Liberty have never won a WNBA championship in franchise history, but plenty of its players have experience playing in the Finals. Breanna Stewart won two rings as a member of the Seattle Storm, and now she’ll bring that champion pedigree to a team that had a losing record last season. Stefanie Dolson and Courtney Vandersloot are also former WNBA Finals winners, and the Liberty won 32 games this season, so they won’t be backing down from the challenge.
