About 2024 AFC, NFC Championship Games

The Baltimore Ravens finished the NFL regular season with a 13-4 record, earning the AFC’s top seed and the conference’s only bye week. Lamar Jackson and a stifling defense led the team to victory over the Houston Texans in the Divisional round by a score of 34 - 10. Jackson had never advanced to an AFC title game before this season, and now he’ll get to play his first in front of a home crowd in Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium.

The 11-6 Kansas City Chiefs never played a road playoff game under Patrick Mahomes until this year, but that didn’t stop them from going to upstate New York and beating the Buffalo Bills in a 27-24 classic of a Divisional round. The Chiefs smacked the Miami Dolphins 26 - 7 in the Wild Card round, and they won’t be intimidated by the Baltimore crowd no matter how loud they get.

The San Francisco 49ers snagged the top seed in the NFC with their 12-5 record during the regular season. Brock Purdy was so-so in the team’s 24 - 21 Divisional round win against the Green Bay Packers, but the 9ers defense pulled the team over the hump and into the title game, which they’ll get to play in front of a home crowd at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

There, they’ll welcome Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions, who also finished 12-5 but lost out on the No. 1 seed due to tiebreakers. It’s been a wondrous season for the Lions, who hosted a playoff game at Ford Field this season for the first time in the arena’s history. The Lions squeaked by the Los Angeles Rams 24 - 23 in the Wild Card round and kept up their high-scoring ways with a 31 - 23 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Can You Stream the 2024 AFC, NFC Championships for Free?

There are ways to stream the AFC and NFC Championship games at no cost this weekend! The best is with a five-day free trial of DIRECTV STREAM, which can be had with any plan. DIRECTV STREAM carries CBS and Fox for the vast majority of TV markets in the United States.

The AFC Championship will stream on Paramount+ in addition to airing live on CBS. Fans who enter promo code SUPERBOWL when signing up can get one month of Paramount+ free, which will allow them to stream the AFC Championship and the Super Bowl at no cost if they’re new Paramount+ subscribers.

Which Streaming Service Should You Get to Watch 2024 AFC, NFC Championship Games?

Because the inventory of NFL games being offered is shrinking, you’ll only need access to two channels to watch the AFC and NFC Championship games: CBS and Fox. There are four live TV streaming services that carry both of those networks in the vast majority of markets: DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, [Hulu + Live TV $], and YouTube TV.

Fubo offers a free trial, but the length varies depending on what time of month you sign up. That leaves no guarantee that you’ll be able to stream the games for free this weekend, and YouTube TV’s free trial is similarly variable. Hulu + Live TV doesn’t offer a free trial, though it does include free access to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ as part of a subscription.

The Streamable recommends you stick with DIRECTV STREAM, both because of its five-day free trial for all new customers and its wide variety of top cable channels available. You can even watch the NFC Championship in 4K at no extra cost on every plan of DIRECTV STREAM.
