The official start of the 2024 Australian Open is one week away, so that means that the tournament’s qualifying rounds will get underway on Sunday, Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. ET. You will be able to catch all of the action live from Melbourne Park, Australia, exclusively on ESPN+ as dozens of players attempt to secure their spots in the field. The qualifiers run daily beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, with matches kicking off at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday. You can watch with a subscription to ESPN+.

With the opening rounds of the 2024 Australian Open beginning on Sunday, Jan. 14, there are still slots in the main draw that need to be filled. So, eight men and eight women competing in this week’s qualifying rounds will end up punching their tickets to join the rest of the field. Sunday, Jan. 7 through Wednesday, Jan. 10 will see intense action as the competitors fight for a spot in the first grand slam tournament of the season.

Some of the familiar names competing this week include Argentine player Marco Trungelliti and French player Harmony Tan who advanced to the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2022 after upsetting Serena Williams. Seventeen Australians have been awarded qualifying wildcards, boosting the number of local players across both the men’s and women’s draws to 25.

Not only will ESPN+ have all of the action available to stream live, but you will also be able to rewatch matches on-demand as well. And if you want to get fully prepped for the Slam season, tune into “Australia’s Open: Beyond the Court” premiering Sunday, Jan. 7, at 11 p.m. ET on ESPN2. This two-hour special will dive into the tournament’s rich history and feature interviews that every tennis fan will love. It’ll also be available on-demand on ESPN+ starting January 11.
