About WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland 2024

For the first time in the organization’s history, the WWE will host a premium live event in Scotland. Saturday’s card also serves as the second Clash at the Castle, following 2022’s event in Cardiff, Wales. It will be a star-studded event as four singles titles will be on the line in addition to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

At Wrestlemania in April, Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship. However, after the match, he was attacked by C.M. Punk. This allowed Damian Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and take the title from the Scottish Warrior only a few minutes into his reign. On Saturday, McIntyre will get his shot to reclaim the belt in front of a supportive hometown crown, and with the benefit of Priest’s The Judgment Day cohorts barred from ringside.

The other major title on the line on Saturday will be the Undisputed WWE Championship as The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes defends his belt against The Phenomenal A.J. Styles. Their bout will be an “I Quit” match, meaning that the winner will be determined by who can get their opponent to give up, generally by submission.

Bayley will also defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Scotland native Piper Niven and Sami Zayn will attempt to retain his Intercontinental title — and perhaps put an end to the Alpha Academy, once and for all — against Olympian Chad Gable.

The only non-singles match of the event will be a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s tag titles. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will face the recently called-up The Unholy Union; this team features Scots Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Also in the match will be Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.
