About 'Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal'

Bray Wyatt came from a long line of iconic professional wrestlers. His grandfather was the legendary Blackjack Mulligan. His father Mike Rotunda is better known as WWE Hall of Famer Irwin R. Schyster. His uncle Barry Windham is a two-time member of the WWE Hall of Fame, and another uncle Kendall Windham is a former WCW Tag Team Champion. His brother, known as Bo Dallas (real name Taylor Rotunda), is also a WWE superstar.

Despite the pedigree and history running through Bray Wyatt’s veins, he never took a traditional route in the world of sports entertainment. Known as The Fiend and The New Face of Evil, the Bray Wyatt persona was the leader of a vaguely otherworldly cult that brought a type of terror never before seen in the WWE. Rotunda’s creativity both in regard to his character and in-ring performance made him an instant hit with fans and colleagues alike.

In “Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal,” a number of legendary WWE superstars like Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Triple H talk about his impact on the company and professional wrestling in general, while members of the Windham and Rotunda families share the emotional and insightful remembrances of the man millions knew as Bray Wyatt.

Windham Rotunda died on Aug. 24, 2023 after dealing with the ramifications of COVID-19. The illness exacerbated a pre-existing heart condition that led to a fatal heart attack.
