On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. ET, both Disney+ and Hulu will drop all five episodes of “Echo.” The gritty new MCU series tells the origin story of Maya Lopez, whose brutal, violent behavior in New York City catches up with her when she is forced to return to her hometown. Maya must reconnect with her Native American roots as she deals with her past actions. If she ever hopes to move forward, she must embrace the meaning of family and community. About ‘Echo’ Premiere
For the first time, Marvel is releasing every episode of a streaming series all at once, so you will have the opportunity to completely binge the world of “Echo” starting on Tuesday, Jan. 9. The show is the most violent and physically brutal series to come from Marvel Studios and promises action and drama unlike what you have seen from the franchise before.
In the show, Maya Lopez (played by Alaqua Cox) is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire, despite having grown up as the Kingpin’s surrogate daughter. When her running brings her back home again, Maya must confront her own family and legacy. The series picks up on some of the characters and storylines first brought to screen in “Hawkeye.”
“Echo” also stars Chaske Spencer, Graham Greene, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Zahn McClarnon, Cody Lightning, and others.
