Disney is teaming with the Pan-African Comic Book Entertainment Company Kugali to debut a new, exciting series on Disney+! “Iwájú,” a six-part series set in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria will be launching on Disney+ on Wednesday, Feb. 28. The series follows two young people as they explore the world around them, enjoying the wonders of their world while also learning of its hidden dangers. About ‘Iwájú’ Premiere

“Iwájú” is the tale of Tola (voice of Simisola Gbadamosi) and her best friend Kole (voice of Siji Soetan), a tech expert whose skills were self-taught. The two friends come from different worlds, but their friendship is much stronger than any distinctions of class. Together they’ll challenge the status quo, exploring questions of class and innocence as they revel in the delights and the dangers of their world.
