How to Watch Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs Playoff Game Live Online on January 13, 2024: TV & Streaming

One of the most exciting games of the season is taking place on Saturday, Jan. 13, but it might be a little bit more difficult for fans to find than a normal NFL Playoff game. That’s because, for the first time in league history, the NFL is airing a playoff game exclusively on Peacock. The Kansas City Chiefs (11-6) will welcome the Miami Dolphins (11-6) to Arrowhead Stadium for an AFC Super Wild Card matchup kicking off at 8 p.m. ET. The game will feature the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs and the Dolphins, who are led by one of the most popular coaches in the game. If you live in either the Miami or Kansas City markets, you are able to watch the game on your local NBC affiliate, but for the rest of the country, the game will only be available on Peacock. Fortunately, they are currently offering a 50%-off deal for a full year's subscription.

How to Watch the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins 2024 Playoff Game

About the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Wild Card Playoff Game

All of the storylines are aligning at Arrowhead this weekend as the Chiefs host the Dolphins. Not only will Miami be trying to rebound after its regular season-finale loss to the Buffalo Bills that cost them the division and a bye, but they also have to leave the friendly — and far warmer — confines of South Florida in order to travel to the frigid Midwest where it is expected to get down to -10° F on Saturday night.

The Chiefs are opening their title defense after beating the Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s Super Bowl. Led by two-time MVP Patrick Mahomes and future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce, the home team is hoping to win its third-straight game after dropping three of four to start December. While the romance between Kelce and Taylor Swift has eaten up much of the headlines surrounding the team, the offense is the story. In four of their last six games, they have failed to score 20 points.

The Dolphins will be led by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa who is looking to bounce back following consecutive losses for Miami. Before losing to the Bills last weekend, the Fins dropped a game to the Baltimore Ravens 56-19.

The two teams met in Arrowhead early in November in a game that the home team won 21-14. Will there be a different outcome for the sequel? You will have to tun in to find out.

Can you stream Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins on Peacock?

You can watch the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins game on No Channels with Peacock. You will also be able to stream NBC.

Peacock

Peacock is a subscription video streaming service from NBCUniversal that includes original shows, blockbuster movies, and classic television series. Peacock is home to “Yellowstone,” and “The Office,” as well as original hits like “Poker Face” and “Bel-Air.” You can also watch live sports including NFL, MLB, WWE, Olympics, Premier League, NASCAR, French Open, College Football and Basketball, and PGA Tour. Premium Plus subscribers can stream their local NBC feed in all 210 markets.

Peacock includes news, entertainment, sports, late-night, and reality from various NBCU properties including NBC, Bravo, and E!.

Peacock also includes the entire library of Bravo shows and has exclusives like “Below Deck: Down Under.” They also include live and on-demand access to Hallmark channels.

The company has acquired the rights to many classic shows like “Parks and Recreation,” and the entire Dick Wolf library including “Law & Order” and “Chicago Fire.”

How to Watch the Chiefs and Dolphins Game in Kansas City and Miami Areas

As the league does with the Prime Video exclusive “Thursday Night Football” games during the regular season, local fans will be able to watch the games in the media markets of both teams playing in the game. Unsurprisingly, since Peacock is NBCUniversal’s streaming service, viewers in the Kansas City, Missouri metro area will be able to watch on KC’s NBC affiliate KSHB. For fans in the Miami area, they can watch on South Florida’s NBC station WTVJ.

In both cases, The Streamable’s expert recommendation would be to subscribe to Fubo if you are only interested in watching this specific matchup. While the streamer is the highest-priced live TV streaming service — and announced another price increase earlier this week — it does offer NBC nationwide and comes with at least a one-day free trial.

Normally, our recommendation for this game would be to go with DIRECTV STREAM, but since the streamer is currently engaged in a retransmission battle with TEGNA, depending on your market, playoff games could be on affiliates that are blacked out for you. Therefore, we are holding off on suggesting DIRECTV STREAM for the time being. Howver, if the two sides come to a resolution before the game — or at any time during the playoffs — and you still need a way to watch it, DIRECTV STREAM would be our choice.

If you are looking to lock in a long-term plan to watch the entire playoffs and DIRECTV is still off the table, then The Streamable recommends Hulu + Live TV. It is actually $3 per month cheaper than DIRECTV STREAM, but does not include a free trial. However, because it does come bundled with Hulu’s on-demand streamer, Disney+, and ESPN+, it is a tremendous value at $76.99 per month.
