About ‘Monsieur Spade’ Premiere
What does a child who allegedly possesses mysterious powers have to do with the deaths of six beloved nuns and Sam Spade’s old adversary? That question is at the heart of “Monsieur Spade,” the new series from AMC. Clive Owen stars as the legendary P.I. created by Dashiell Hammett. The six-episode season was filmed on location in France and focuses on Spade as he attempts to follow the clues of two seemingly disparate cases only to arrive at one central — and perhaps other-worldly — mystery.
In addition to Owen, the series features Cara Bossom, Denis Ménochet, Louise Bourgoin, Chiara Mastroianni, Stanley Weber, Matthew Beard, Jonathan Zaccaï, and Rebecca Root, with Alfre Woodard and Dean Winters also appearing.
All episodes will premiere on both Acorn TV and AMC+ on Sundays through Feb. 18, and they will air at 9 p.m. ET on AMC on each Sunday.
