About 'Oppenheimer'
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, “Oppenheimer” explores the paradox of one of the most enigmatic men in history who risks destroying the world in order to save it. At the height of the second world war, physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer (played by Cillian Murphy) becomes the central figure in America’s race against the Nazis to develop the first atomic bomb. Yet, after the bomb has been dropped, Oppenheimer dedicates his life to preventing it from ever being used again, despite the damage it does to his life and career.
Murphy is joined by an all-star cast that includes Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh.
