About the 2024 NBA Playoffs
The chase for the Larry O’Brien Trophy officially starts on Saturday, April 20 as the 16 teams are now locked in for the NBA playoffs. This year’s games will air on four networks, ABC, ESPN, NBA TV, TNT, and truTV. Nikola Jokić and the No. 2 [Denver Nuggts] will open up their title defense against LeBron James and the No. 7 Los Angeles Lakers after the latter advanced out of the play-in tournament. The Oklahoma City Thunder claimed the top seed in the Western Conference and will take on the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round.
Over in the East, the Boston Celtics are the top seed and they will face the Miami Heat. The No. 2 New York Knicks have had their most successful season in recent memory and are looking to avoid the upset against the seventh-seeded Philadelphia 76ers. As of the publication of this article, the entire first-round broadcast schedule has not been announced by either the NBA or its partners, but we do know when and where many of the early games will air.
To watch all of this action, The Streamable recommends signing up for a subscription to Sling TV. Not only will Sling carry all of the NBA Postseason Games, but it is the cheapest option to do so. If you sign up for both the Sling Orange and Blue plans, that will cost just $55 per month, and it will get you ESPN, TNT, and truTV. In select markets, it will also provide access to ABC, but even where it doesn’t, all of those games will be simulcast on ESPN3, which is also included in your package, so you won’t miss a single second of the NBA playoffs.
There will also be a handful of games airing on NBA TV, which is available on Sling via the Sports Extra add-on, for $11 per month. Currently, Sling is offering customers $10 off their first month, so you can watch the first half of the postseason for just $56.
