Fifty years after “The Exorcist” turned the horror genre on its head, evil has returned. After his daughter and her friend returns from a three-day disappearance with missing memories and increasingly terrifying behavior, single father Victor (played by Leslie Odom, Jr.) must turn to Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), whose haunting experience with her daughter Regan may be the key to defeating what’s beyond the surface. “The Exorcist: Believer” will make its streaming debut exclusively on Peacock on Friday, Dec. 1. You can watch with a subscription to Peacock.
About 'The Exorcist: Believer'
Blumhouse’s “The Exorcist: Believer” arrives exclusively on streaming after premiering this past October and ringing in the 50th anniversary of the franchise’s parent film, “The Exorcist.”
Leslie Odom Jr. leads the cast as Victor Fielding, who, since his wife’s death, has raised his daughter Angela (Lidya Jewett) on his own. After she and her friend return from a three-day disappearance with missing memories and begin displaying terrifying behavior, Victor must turn to the only person who has seen something like this before: Chris MacNeil.
Ellen Burstyn reprises her role of Chris from the original film with Jennifer Nettles, Norbert Leo Butz, and Ann Dowd rounding out the rest of the cast.
