Is Ryan Gosling’s New Movie ‘The Fall Guy’ Streaming Now? When Will it Be Available on Peacock?
Gosling portrays a dashing Hollywood stuntman who finds himself embroiled in an all-too-real plot filled with big explosions and high-octane chases.
Ryan Gosling is making quite a career out of the “well-meaning beefcake” role. His newest performance in this category comes in “The Fall Guy,” the new action-comedy flick, co-starring Emily Blunt, from Universal that makes its official theatrical debut on Friday, May 3.
Key Details:
- “The Fall Guy” has secured an 84% thumbs-up rate on Rotten Tomatoes.
- As a Universal film, “The Fall Guy” will stream first on Peacock.
- Viewers will likely have to wait at least 90 days to stream the film with a Peacock subscription.
“The Fall Guy” stars Gosling as Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman with years of experience. When he’s assigned to work on the directorial debut of his ex-girlfriend Jody (Emily Blunt), Colt sees an opportunity to potentially win back the love of his life. But after an accident, Colt finds himself embroiled in a real-life conspiracy, and he must clear his own name and get to the bottom of the case once and for all.
Critics are loving “The Fall Guy,” which has compiled a rating of 84% from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes. Its critical consensus praises the film as a “rare mainstream movie with something to entertain everyone.”

When Will You Be Able to Stream ‘The Fall Guy’ on Peacock?
“The Fall Guy” may be the perfect Gosling flick to stream back-to-back with “Barbie,” but unfortunately for Gosling superfans harboring such ambitions, it’s only available to watch in theaters for the time being. The good news is that when the movie does stream, its status as a Universal-distributed project means that it will be streaming on Peacock without a doubt.
It seems NBCUniversal has officially moved past its pattern of allowing movies to stay in theaters and on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) rental/purchase platforms for only a short time. Its January 2024 release “Night Swim” took 91 days to reach Peacock after its theatrical premiere, and animated movies “Trolls Band Together” and “Migration” both enjoyed pre-streaming windows of 119 days.
We’ll stick with a 91-day prediction for “The Fall Guy,” which will see it land on Peacock on Friday, August 1. Peacock usually releases its newest films on Fridays to allow for weekend viewership, and releasing “The Fall Guy” in early August will help Universal bookend the summer movie release schedule with the movie’s theatrical and streaming debuts.
