Is ‘Trolls Band Together’ Streaming Today? When Will it Come to Peacock, Netflix?

The Trolls are back! “Trolls Band Together,” the latest installment in the “Trolls” franchise is heading to movie theaters around the United States on Friday, Nov. 18. Parents desperate for a weekend activity have a brand-new film to bring the family to that they can be sure will be appropriate for all ages!

“Trolls Band Together” is an epic quest, filled with laughs, heart and friendship. When Branch’s brother, Floyd, is kidnapped for his musical talents by a pair of nefarious pop-star villains, Branch and Poppy embark on a harrowing and emotional journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop-culture obscurity.

The movie has put together a 60% rating on Rotten Tomatoes thus far, and features a highly talented voice cast including Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Camila Cabelo, Eric Andre, Amy Schumer and many more.

When Will ‘Trolls Band Together’ Come to Streaming?

This is the far trickier question to answer. “Trolls Band Together” is not a day-and-date streaming release, so it will be a theatrical exclusive when it comes to theaters on Nov. 18. A past look at Dreamworks titles suggests fans could be in for a bit of a wait before the movie is available to stream.

For example, “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken” took 112 days between its June 30 theatrical release and its Peacock debut on Oct. 20. “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” was in theaters for 78 days before streaming on Peacock, so it seems likely that “Trolls Band Together” will be available in cinemas and on transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) platforms for a healthy stay before moving to streaming.

Given that data, The Streamable predicts it will be around 90 days before you can watch “Trolls Band Together” from the comforts of your own couch, fixing its arrival date as Feb. 15, 2024.

If you’d like to see the earlier Trolls films, the 2016 original is on Netflix, while you can see “Trolls World Tour” on Peacock.

Where Will ‘Trolls Band Together’ Be Available Once it Streams?

Thankfully, this question is much easier to answer. As a Dreamworks production, “Trolls Band Together” will head to NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock as its first streaming destination. That’s where users will also find “Trolls World Tour,” the second movie in the series.

To stream the first movie, however, users will have to head over to Netflix. That streamer will get its hands on “Trolls Band Together” as well, though Peacock gets a four-month exclusive window with the film before it sends it to Netflix. Assuming that the Feb. 15 date is approximately correct for “Trolls World Tour” to arrive on Peacock, users should expect it on Netflix sometime in June.
