Multiview Returns for NBA League Pass Users on YouTube TV
League Pass subscribers can now access pre-selected packages of four NBA games to watch simultaneously.
Attention NBA League Pass subscribers who purchase their account through YouTube TV: multiview is back! The popular feature which allows customers to watch four live games simultaneously has been used to great effect on NFL Sunday Ticket this year, and now NBA League Pass subscribers on YouTube TV will also be able to use the feature.

How Can Users Watch Four Games at Once with NBA League Pass and Multiview?
The return of multiview for NBA League Pass subscribers on YouTube TV was confirmed in a Tweet by the provider on Thursday, Oct. 26. As it applies only to NBA League Pass games, any NBA contests on national TV will not be available to watch with the multiview feature on YouTube TV. Also, users must subscribe to NBA League Pass through YouTube TV itself; there is no way to link an NBA League Pass subscription purchased separately from a YouTube TV subscription.

The multiview feature was first made accessible to League Pass subscribers on YouTube TV in March. Customers must have responded quite positively, as its introduction now means it will be available for essentially all of the 2023-24 NBA season. Multiview was also made available for WNBA League Pass users in July.
Customers cited multiview as one of the positives for NFL Sunday Ticket when it made its YouTube TV debut this fall, as well. Users can likely expect Multiview to return for the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament next March.
Will Multiview Ever Be Customizable?
The single biggest gripe that YouTube TV subscribers have with the multiview feature is that it does not allow customers to swap out games. Multiview packages are pre-selected, and there’s currently no way to customize them to ensure they feature only wanted games.
YouTube TV Chief Business Officer Mary Ellen Coe acknowledged the complaints of users in September, explaining that the desire to bring multiview to market as fast as possible meant that it didn’t have time to completely solve the technical problems inherent with allowing users to customize their game packages.
“[Allowing users to switch out games in Multiview] is a very hard thing to do technically,” Coe said about negative reactions to the Multiview option. “Put it this way, the feedback is, we hear you loud and clear. We have a seven-year relationship and will be looking to innovate in the future.”
YouTube TV is working on a customizable multiview, but users shouldn’t expect it any time in the next few months. NBA League Pass subscribers whose accounts are through YouTube TV will have to grapple with that issue, but at least they’ll have access to multiview all season long.
