Peacock, New Women’s USL Super League Agrees to Multi-Year Deal to Boost Soccer Coverage
The USL Super League is the second Division I women’s soccer league in the United States, and will stream 115 combined matches on Peacock.
The United Soccer League is preparing to unleash a new wave of top-flight women’s soccer in the United States. The USL is creating a new Division I women’s league dubbed the Super League, which will begin play in August and will feature eight new teams battling it out for supremacy each season, and now we know where soccer fans can watch the games. NBCUniversal has announced that its streaming service Peacock reached a multi-year agreement with USL to stream every Super League match beginning with its inaugural season kicking off this summer.

Peacock will broadcast 115 matches this season, including playoffs, and will air at least 14 matches featuring each USL Super League team. The first USL Super League season begins on Aug. 17 and will continue through December before pausing for a winter break.
In addition to the Super League, the USL will send USL League Two and USL W League matches to NBC’s streaming service SportsEngine Play, which specializes in youth and amateur sports. USL League Two and W League are the country’s premier pre-professional leagues for men and women, respectively.

The USL Super League will begin play with eight clubs: Brooklyn FC, Carolina Ascent FC, Dallas Trinity FC, DC Power FC, Fort Lauderdale United FC, Lexington SC, Spokane Zephyr FC, and Tampa Bay Sun FC. Nine more teams are expected to join the league once stadium-building or improvement initiatives are completed.
What Other Soccer Rights Are Available on Peacock?
Peacock has a wide variety of soccer games, including those from the English Premier League, the top level of the English soccer pyramid. The service also will stream every soccer game of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, both men’s and women’s. Fans who miss a match or two will still be able to catch up on Peacock, either with on-demand replays or with the whip-around show “Gold Zone” which will take fans around action from the entire games every day.
Peacock also carries Spanish-language streams of the FIFA World Cup every four years. In the 2022 edition of that competition, Peacock saw its popularity explode thanks to the World Cup offering, and the rise in ratings for women’s sports could bring a similarly-dedicated fanbase to the streamer once USL Super League games begin in August.
Sports fans will love Peacock, which offers NFL football, auto racing, golf, tennis, Big Ten football and basketball, and much more in addition to its wide range of soccer programming. The streamer has plans starting at $5.99 per month, and even with prices set to rise in July it will still be one of the cheapest ways to watch such a big variety of live sports.
