What would a true alien takeover of the planet Earth look like? That’s the ambitious, complicated tale that Apple TV+ has chosen to tell with its sci-fi thriller series “Invasion,” which will show the final episode of its second season on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
Although critics weren’t all that enthused about the first season of “Invasion,” nearly all agree that Season 2 has been a marked improvement, even a vindication of the show’s entire existence. The final episode of the season is titled “Old Friends, New Frontiers,” which should give viewers a pretty strong hint about where the show will end up and if it stands a chance of getting a third season.
