Spectrum’s Deal With AT&T TV NOW, Will See LA Lakers Games Come to Streaming for the First Time

Jason Gurwin

Yesterday, we learned that AT&T and Charter Spectrum reached a new deal to bring Spectrum SportsNet LA and live Dodgers games to DirecTV, AT&T U-Verse, and streaming services AT&T TV and AT&T TV NOW.

The Streamable has confirmed with Charter Communications that the deal will also see its sister-network Spectrum SportsNet, which carries Los Angeles Lakers and LA Galaxy games, join AT&T TV and AT&T TV NOW on April 8th. This is the first time that the channels will be available to stream locally across any of the Live TV Streaming Services.

They are not currently available on Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, or fuboTV. To access the channel, you will need AT&T TV NOW MAX ($80) or AT&T TV Choice (or above) plan.

This is a welcome change for streamers, who haven’t been able to watch Lebron and the Lakers, unless they had cable since he joined the team. Previously, Lakers fans could only stream nationally televised games on ABC and TNT in the Los Angeles market.

With the addition of Spectrum SportsNet to AT&T TV NOW, there are now only five Regional Sports Networks that don’t have any streaming carriage agreements – Altitude, AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain, Root Sports Northwest, and MASN.
