Top Five Titles Coming to Peacock in February 2024

As we say goodbye to January and look forward to February, now is a great time to be a subscriber to Peacock as not only is the NBCUniversal streaming service home to great movies and buzzy originals, but it also is offering collections of films and TV series to celebrate the month. For Valentine’s Day, Peacock has more than 30 new titles, including “Dear John,” “Bros”, “Girls Trip,” “Pride and Prejudice,” “Sleepless in Seattle,” and “The Wedding Date.” The NBCU streamer will also honor Black History Month by featuring new classics like “Bel-Air,” “The Best Man: The Final Chapters,” and “Nope,” as well as timeless favorites like “A Raisin in the Sun,” “Sanford & Son,” and “Good Times.”

Peacock will also host a large swath of sporting events from multiple WWE Premium Live Events to the Six Nations Rubgy Tournament, Big Ten Men’s and Women’s basketball, and more. The NBCU streamer is also home to original and exclusive Peacock series, and the next-day streaming of shows from across the NBCU family of networks, it is a good time to sign up for either a Peacock Premium ($5.99) or Peacock Premium Plus ($11.99) plan.

‘Kings from Queens: The Run DMC Story’ | Feb. 1

Whether you are walking this way, putting on your Adidas, or just celebrating Christmas in Hollis, chances are that Run-DMC has been a part of the soundtrack of your life, no matter your age. On Feb. 1, Peacock is debuting a new three-part documentary series about the first hip-hop group truly embraced by the larger pop culture. “Kings from Queens: The Run DMC Story” chronicles the lives and careers of the hip-hop forefathers starting in the 1980s, when Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell honed their unique sound that took them from Hollis, Queens to the top of the world.

The docuseries is set to feature exclusive interviews with the members of RUN DMC, as well as some of hip-hop’s biggest names, including Ice Cube, LL COOL J, the Beastie Boys, Ice-T, Chuck D, Salt, MC Lyte, Ed Lover, Jermaine Dupri, Questlove, and more.

‘Bosco’ | Feb. 2

In 2006, there were over two million Americans that were incarcerated around the country. However, only Quawntay “Bosco” Adams was able to escape a federal, maximum-security prison wing despite being under 24-hour surveillance. The new Peacock original film “Bosco” tells the story of a man sentenced to 35 years for attempting to possess marijuana who will do anything to be at the birth of his first child.

Played by Aubrey Joseph, Bosco concocts an ingenious plan to pull off a one-in-a-million escape with the help of a lonely woman whom he met by replying to a personal ad.

The cast also features Nikki Blonsky, Tyrese Gibson, Vivica A. Fox, Theo Rossi, Thomas Jane, and more.

‘Couple to Throuple’ | Series Premiere | Feb. 8

It used to be that three was considered company, but in the new Peacock reality show, couples in committed relationships are set to try out the new world of polyamory to see if they are open to adding a third partner into their relationship. Hosted by Scott Evans, “Couple to Throple” is set in a remote tropical resort where couples will meet and date a group of individual singles, many of whom are experienced in polyamory. Sex and relationship expert Shamyra Howard will guide the groups through the process as they decide if they want to stick to their monogamous relationships, commit to being a throuple, or leave separately. All of the steamy action kicks off on Feb. 8 on Peacock.

‘Oppenheimer’ | Feb. 16

With 13 Academy Award nominations, Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” is the most nominated film of the year. The leading candidate for Best Picture, Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), and Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.) — not to mention many technical awards — the film is a can’t-miss for cinephilias.

The film tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the mercurial physicist who becomes the central figure in a race against the Nazis to develop the first atomic bomb. Despite the “success” of his scientific accomplishment, the repercussions of his actions lead the enigmatic scientist to work against his own invention in order to save the world.

In addition to Murphy and Downey, the film stars Oscar nominee Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, and more. The film will begin streaming on Feb. 16.

‘The Voice’ | Season 25 Premiere | Feb. 26

For its 25th season, “The Voice” is shaking things up. After back-to-back season wins, Niall Horan will not be back in his red chair when the hit singing competition show returns on Feb. 26. In his place will be not one, but two new judges, the Grammy-winning duo Dan + Shay — the show’s first-ever coaching pair.

They will be joining returning coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Chance the Rapper. Both Reba and John are back for their second-consecutive seasons, while Chance returns after coaching on Season 23. While the coaches are always a big draw for the show, the talented contestants are always what makes “The Voice” special.
