Tubi Launching Two Free Sports Streaming Channels from DAZN in the US Focused on Combat Sports, Women’s Soccer

While Fox does not have its own sports streaming service, by bringing more original content to Tubi, it is continuing to put sports at the center of its strategy.

Sports have always been at the center of Fox’s broadcasting agenda, highlighted by the channel’s partnership with the NFL, multiple college conferences, and FIFA. Now, the company’s ad-supported streaming service Tubi is adding two new around-the-clock sports channels from DAZN in the United States, as well as two in Canada. One of the channels coming to American streaming audiences will be DAZN Women’s Football, marking the first time that the channel will ever be available in North America.

  • Tubi will launch DAZN channels focused on women’s soccer and combat sports in the United States.
  • Both channels will feature live sports action as well as shoulder content and additional programming.
  • The DAZN Women’s Football channel will also be available in Canada.

Tubi and live sports streaming service DAZN have signed a groundbreaking licensing deal that will bring the DAZN Ringside and DAZN Women’s Football free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels to Tubi in the United States, and DAZN TV and DAZN Women’s Football in Canada. DAZN Women’s Football will stream programming 24 hours per day and will include live and classic women’s soccer matches from some of the biggest teams and tournaments in the world. The channel will feature games from UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL), Liga F, the Saudi Women’s Premier League, and more.

With the channel’s arrival in both the U.S. and Canada, this will be the first time that it has ever been available to stream in North America. As the appetite for women’s sports, especially soccer, continues to grow domestically, DAZN Women’s Football will “spotlight not only the incredible athletes, their stories and these elite soccer competitions but also women’s sports in general.”

One of DAZN’s calling cards around the world has been the platform’s coverage of high-profile combat sports matches. DAZN Ringside continues that tradition by providing around-the-clock streaming of the best boxing and MMA action from such promotions as Matchroom Boxing, Golden Boy, Wasserman, and the MF & DAZN: X Series.

The channel will provide shoulder coverage to some of the biggest events that will air on DAZN proper. DAZN Ringside will air live undercards, before-the-bell coverage, and live weigh-ins. In addition, it will carry over 300 hours of archive fights, exclusive documentaries, and “The DAZN Boxing Show.” The channel will also be the streaming home of world title bouts after individual embargo periods end.

This is far from the first time that Fox has brought exclusive sports programming to Tubi. In 2022, the company held the U.S. broadcast rights to the World Cup in Qatar, so, after each game aired on Fox, FS1, or FS2, they would be available on demand. However, Fox opted not to repeat the practice with last year’s Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Last fall, Tubi also became the home for an NBA G League channel that included more than 75 live games throughout the season. While Fox has yet to move any of its highly desirable NFL or college football rights to its free streaming service, it is clear that it still views Tubi as an important spoke in its sports broadcast strategy.

Tubi

Tubi is a free video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 200,000+ movies and TV episodes - more than any other streaming service. Its ad breaks are shorter and less frequent than most free services. Fox executives have called their service “TV on steroids.”

The service includes 55+ live news channels affiliated with NBC, FOX, Cox Media Group, Hearst, and Scripps. Local affiliates provide coverage in most major media markets.

Tubi’s programming includes films and television series from Fox Entertainment, MGM, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., NBCUniversal, Disney, and more.
