Apple TV identified as a top streaming device for privacy
As determined by ARS Technica, the Apple TV 4K player is one of the best streaming devices on the market for those with privacy concerns. Apple TVs don’t incorporate automatic content recognition tracking technology, and it also makes third-party app tracking more difficult by requiring that apps ask a user’s permission to track them. Any data Apple collects itself is not personally identifiable, according to the company, and these features run counter to other top streaming devices that gather as much information from users as they can.
‘Manifest’ creator hints the show could go on
The drama series “Manifest,” which follows the story of a plane full of passengers who reappear after being presumed dead five years earlier. The show itself is also presumed deceased; NBC canceled the show after three seasons, but Netflix revived the show for a highly successful fourth season in 2022.
On June 2, show creator Jeff Rake posted on X (the social media site formerly named Twitter) the words “Not dead yet” with a hashtag for ‘Manifest” and a poster of the show’s final season. That doesn’t confirm that the show is returning, but it’s the latest in a long line of hints that it could return in some form.

Chicago Sports Network announces deal with Comcast
When Chicago Sports Network first launched in 2024, it was seen as a good way for Windy City fans to see Chicago Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox games either via linear television or streaming. But one large group of fans was left out of the arrangement; Comcast customers have been without CHSN, as the channel could not reach a carriage deal with the cable distributor. That has officially changed; as announced on Friday, CHSN and Comcast have a carriage agreement that will allow the channel to be broadcast on the Xfinity Ultimate TV package. Viewers can also stream CHSN via a direct-to-consumer app starting at $20 per month.
