When Can I Stream Channing Tatum’s “Blink Twice”?
The movie is likely to head to MGM+ over Prime Video, but when?
If a billionaire invited you to his private island, how could you say no? Especially if he looks like Channing Tatum? Audiences will have to confront that question when watching “Blink Twice,” the new thriller premiering in theaters on Friday, Aug. 23. Keep reading for The Streamable’s prediction on when you’ll be able to stream it at home!
Key Details:

- The film is distributed under the MGM label, and will likely stream on the MGM+ App first.
- It’s quite likely that “Blink Twice” will take at least 90 days to arrive on MGM+.
Watch the Trailer for ‘Blink Twice’:
“Blink Twice” stars Tatum as Slater King, a billionaire tech mogul who has decided to step aside from his work because of allegations of bad behavior. He swears that’s all behind him though and invites cocktail waitress Frida and her friends to his private island for a gala. They accept eagerly, but as soon as they arrive, they start seeing signs that something is off, and the longer they stay, the worse their feelings of danger grow. What’s going on at King’s island, and will any of them make it off alive?
The film has gained the approval of critics, as it now sits at a 78% score from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes. The critical consensus calls the film a “live wire,” and many reviewers are singling out first-time director Zoë Kravitz for smashing her directorial debut out of the park.
When Will ‘Blink Twice’ Be Available to Stream?
“Blink Twice” is being distributed under the MGM label, which means it’s more likely to stream on the MGM+ App when it’s done in theaters. MGM is now owned by Amazon, so there is a chance it comes to Prime Video first, but MGM+ is still our best bet.
However, it could take several months for “Blink Twice ” to arrive there. MGM and Amazon films usually take their time to get to on-demand streaming, since Amazon operates the digital rental platform Prime Video. This allows viewers to stream movies that are still exclusively in theaters, and it helps give movies an additional revenue boost when ticket sales begin to slow down.
Recent Amazon and MGM films have gotten big theatrical windows. When “Creed III” was released in 2023, it took 98 days to reach Prime Video. “Guy Ritchie's The Covenant” saw a 157-day window, and the long-delayed Zendaya vehicle “Challengers” arrived on MGM+ on July 29, 94 days after its theatrical debut.
I think “Blink Twice” will likely be in the 95-day range with its theatrical window, which would bring it to streaming on Tuesday, Nov. 26. It’s not exactly the most holiday-themed movie, but that length of time would be right in line with other recent releases from Amazon and MGM.
