FanDuel Sports Network is now streaming on Prime Video
After well over a year, the in-market sports streaming service is finally available through Amazon’s streaming hub.
For nearly 14 months, Amazon and what is now known as Main Street Sports Group have been dancing around a possible partnership. After the plan was finally confirmed late last year, on Wednesday, Main Street’s regional sports network (RSN) streaming service finally became available on Prime Video.
Key Details:
- Starting on Wednesday, the FanDuel Sports Network in-market streaming service is available on Prime Video.
- The two companies have been discussing a partnership for well over a year.
- With the NBA and NHL seasons in the home stretch, and the MLB season approaching, it is a perfect time to test out the streamer.
After rebranding from the Bally Sports Network in October 2024, the in-market RSN streaming service FanDuel Sports Network officially launched in October providing sports fans access to their local MLB, NBA, and NHL team’s in-market games.
Now, fans can sign up for the RSN platform via Prime Video Channels, meaning that they can access the streamer and have it billed through their existing Amazon accounts. The FanDuel Sports Network costs $20 per month, $125 for a single sports season, or $190 for an entire year. However, in the case where cord-cutters live in markets that have multiple FanDuel RSNs available, they will be able to bundle both for $30 monthly. The platform also offers a seven-day free trial to test it out.
With the NBA and NHL heading into the home stretch of their regular seasons and the 2025 Major League season quickly approaching, this is a perfect time to try out the revamped service via Prime Video.
“We’re always looking for new and innovative ways to serve our teams and viewers,” Main Street Sports Group’s president of distribution Eric Ratchman said. “This relationship with Prime Video gives fans another way to watch their favorite local teams and underscores the essential role our distribution partners play in driving our future growth. We’re excited to offer a seamless and convenient way to stay in the game.”
In December 2023, it was originally reported that the RSN owner then-known as Diamond Sports Group was working on a deal for the tech company to invest and keep the network afloat during bankruptcy. However, as Chapter 11 proceedings drug on into the summer of 2024, eventually, that deal was called off.
However, just before DSG emerged as a going concern and rebranded as Main Street Sports Group, Amazon came back on board solidifying the new company’s future.
