Breaking: Comcast to Offer Peacock, Netflix, Apple TV+ Bundle to Xfinity Internet Customers This Month

StreamSaver will be introduced in the coming days and will provide a discount on the three streamers for all Xfinity internet subscribers.

Bundling is in the air across the streaming industry as of late. In addition to the benchmark discount streaming package the Disney Bundle — which offers different combinations of Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu — Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery are working on a forthcoming joint venture that will bundle all of their sports rights into a single streaming service, and last week, it was announced that Max will bundle with Disney+ and Hulu. Not to be outdone, at the MoffettNathan Media, Internet & Communications Conference, Comcast chairman and CEO Brian Roberts let slip that in the coming days, his company will announce a new bundle that will unite NBCUniversal’s Peacock with Netflix and Apple TV+.

Key Details:

  • Later this month, Comcast will introduce a new streaming bundle for Xfinity internet customers.
  • The bundle will include Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV+.
  • StreamSaver will be available to all Xfinity internet customers, regardless of which plan they are on.

As Comcast is more than just an entertainment company, bundles are a cornerstone of its business. From home internet to cable video to mobile phone service to multiple streaming products, Comcast has been offering different types of bundles for many years. Now, Roberts has promised that by the end of the month, a new bundle known as StreamSaver will be available to all Xfinity internet customers. The package will provide a significantly discounted collection of Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV+ regardless of which internet plan they subscribe to.

Xfinity offers multiple internet products; its standard plans on the Xfinity Network and its newer NOW Internet packages for just $30 per month. Roberts told moderator Craig Moffett that there would be varying price points based on the internet package, but that it would “come at a vastly reduced price to anything available today.”

Roberts said that StreamSaver is designed to “add value to consumers” while also playing into the company’s larger product ecosystem. By tying the fastest-growing subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) streaming service on the market (Peacock), the world’s largest SVOD (Netflix), and the SVOD that saw themost subscriber growth in the first quarter of 2024 (Apple TV+) to Xfinity internet, Comcast is banking on the bundle becoming an engrained part of consumers’ lives so that they will be less likely to cancel their service, and more likely to add on other Comcast products in the future.

“This will be a pretty compelling package,” Roberts said.

While many analysts have noted that media companies are essentially attempting to rebuild the cable bundle by bringing together their disparate streaming services, since Comcast also owns one of the two largest cable companies in the United States, it might be the one media entity able to truly provide consumers with not only what’s left of the cable bundle, but also an engaging and worthwhile package of streaming services as well.
