Death, taxes, and price increases for your favorite streamer — these are inevitable. Add DIRECTV STREAM to the list of streamers to become more expensive this year. Starting November 5, the price for every channel lineup on the service will increase.

If you use DIRECTV STREAM to subscribe to Showtime or AMC+, you’ll also have to pay $1 more per service.
The DIRECTV STREAM website does still feature its offer of $30 off your first three months, and we would expect that to continue for a while.
A DIRECTV spokesperson tells The Streamable, “Like other distributors, we’re adjusting our pricing because of the higher cost networks are charging to distribute national and local programming. We remain focused on delivering the best value.”
The spokesperson is referring to the service’s summerlong battle with Nexstar. In July, more than 200 stations in 100 markets went dark on the DIRECTV platforms. Those channels returned to the platform on September 17.
DIRECTV STREAM is not alone in cranking up its prices. Hulu Live TV is just days away from a $7 price hike. And Netflix is said to be plotting a price increase as well.
While it’s tempting to consider another live TV streaming option, DIRECTV STREAM does still stand out for its robust coverage of regional sports networks, its unlimited DVR, and the ability to stream on unlimited devices at the same time. Its channel lineup is better than all the other live streamers.
If you’re looking to save money, it’s worth a long hard look at Sling TV to see if its packages make more sense for your home.

DIRECTV STREAM
DIRECTV STREAM is a live TV streaming service, which is essentially the streaming version of the DIRECTV service. All packages include local channels and at least 31 of the top 35 cable channels. New subscribers can get a free Gemini streaming device from the company, in which case the service is called “DIRECTV via Internet.”
