Top Streamers to Stack and Save Money in 2024; 5 Streaming Bundles for $20 or Less

Top Streamers to Stack and Save Money in 2024; 5 Streaming Bundles for $20 or Less

If you’re looking to trim your streaming budget in 2024, check out this list of bundles you can craft to maximize your money.

It’s almost New Year’s Day, and that means two things: it’s time to make resolutions and time to make budgets for the new year. For streaming subscribers, doing either will likely lead to the same conclusion: 2024 is the year for saving money on streaming.

A survey from July found that more than one in five streaming customers had canceled service due to cost in the preceding three months, so the demand for streaming savings is clear. The Streamable makes covering price fluctuations and tracking deals a primary concern, which is why you can trust our recommendations and know you’re getting a good deal! With that, let’s dive into the best streaming services to bundle and save money in 2024!

Best Streaming Bundle for Families with Kids

It can be hard to find quality educational and entertainment programming for kids, but PBS Kids makes it simple by offering full episodes of titles like “Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood,” “Arthur,” “Super Why” for free. There’s no need to worry about parental controls here because all the content on PBS Kids is safe for family members of every age.

The next step is to add something that both kids and parents can enjoy. For that, The Streamable recommends going with the Disney Duo Basic Bundle. That costs $9.99 per month — an excellent price for two of the top five streamers on the market— and allows users to watch content on both Disney+ and Hulu with ads. The good news for kids is that children’s titles on Disney+ come ad-free, and parental controls are easy to set up. That’s especially important as Hulu titles like “The Bear” with plenty of adult language and other mature content are now available to stream from within the Disney+ app. Throw in Tubi for an additional $0 per month for ad-supported titles by the thousands for both kids and adults to make this bundle complete!

  • Disney+

Disney+ is a video streaming service with over 13,000 series and films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, The Muppets, and more. It is available in 61 countries and 21 languages. It is notable for its popular original series like “The Mandalorian,” “Ms. Marvel,” “Loki,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” and “Andor.”

Disney+ has several plans with or without ads. Disney+ Basic with Ads costs $9.99 / month. If you don’t want ads, you can choose Disney+ Premium with No Ads which costs $15.99 / month.

The Premium plan also offers an annual option for $159.99 / year ($13.33/mo.).

If you’d like to add Hulu, choose Duo Basic (with ads) for $10.99 / month. Duo Premium offers Hulu and Disney+ ad-free for $19.99 / month.

If you want all three Disney streaming services, you can choose Trio Basic (ad-supported) or Trio Premium (ad-free). The Trio plans offer Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ (with Ads) for $9.99 / month. The Disney Bundle Premium (without Ads) for $26.99 / month.

The app supports unlimited downloads (on their Premium Plans), four simultaneous streamers, up to 7 profiles, 4K streaming, and includes hundreds of avatars.

The service includes 25+ original series, 10+ original movies, 7,500 past episodes, 100 recent movies, and 400 library titles including the entire Disney Vault.

You can see the full list of available Disney, Disney Channel, Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel, Nat Geo shows and movies, or all available Disney+ content by checking out our Disney+ Streaming Movie List.

  • Hulu

Hulu is a video streaming service that gives access to thousands of full seasons of exclusive series, hit movies, kids shows, and Hulu Originals like “Only Murders in the Building,” and “The Handmaid's Tale.”

It offers a good selection of current TV shows and its ad-supported tier is cheaper than both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. You will be able to watch most shows from networks like ABC and Fox, and cable channels like FXX, FXM, HGTV, and more.

The service has a Limited Commercials plan for $9.99 a month, or you can upgrade to their No Ads plan for $18.99 a month. For $82.99 a month, you can get Hulu Live TV from major cable channels, live locals and regional sports networks.

  • PBS Kids

PBS Kids is a free online streaming platform serving toddlers and preschoolers. All content here is kid-friendly and safe. Children will learn lessons about emotional regulation, creative thinking, and problem-solving, with shows focused on science, reading, and more. Standout shows include “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” “Wild Kratts,” and “Molly of Denali.” It’s a must-have service for anyone with young children.

While your family can enjoy PBS Kids for free with the app, the content is limited to eight episodes and a handful of clips per show. If you pay for PBS Kids as an Amazon video channel, you’ll have on demand access to every episode of every show.

  • Tubi

Tubi is a free video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 200,000+ movies and TV episodes - more than any other streaming service. Its ad breaks are shorter and less frequent than most free services. Fox executives have called their service “TV on steroids.”

The service includes 55+ live news channels affiliated with NBC, FOX, Cox Media Group, Hearst, and Scripps. Local affiliates provide coverage in most major media markets.

Tubi’s programming includes films and television series from Fox Entertainment, MGM, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., NBCUniversal, Disney, and more.

Best Streaming Bundle for Families with No Kids

Couples with no kids usually have a bit more disposable income to spend on entertainment, but there are plenty of financial restrictions on their paychecks as well. For this group, The Streamable recommends starting with a subscription to Apple TV+ for $9.99 per month. Apple TV+ is ad-free by default (for now), and offers a small but growing library of premium content, including the upcoming streaming releases of “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Napoleon” in addition to its TV originals like “Lessons in Chemistry” and “Masters of the Air.”

Next for these users should be a subscription to Max’s ad-supported tier for a further $9.99 per month. That well-balanced service also carries premium titles like “House of the Dragon,” “The Last of Us” and “Barbie.” Users can stream live news on the service thanks to the addition of content from CNN, and live sports thanks to the Bleacher Report sports add-on (though come February, B/R Sports will be an additional $9.99 per month).

Finally, grab a subscription to The Roku Channel if you want free TV, including originals and movies to fill the days between releases of top-flight titles on Apple TV+ and Max. This bundle is well-rounded, featuring a little bit of everything for $20 per month.

Cost of Apple TV+, Max with ads, Roku Channel Bundle: $19.98 per month

Best Streaming Bundle for Single Adults

This is the true wild card group of the list. Single adults can have a wide range of entertainment needs and budgets, so general entertainment streaming services are clearly the way to go for this demographic. That starts with Peacock, which starts at $5.99 per month for ad-supported streaming and features new titles like “Dr. Death” and reality shows from Bravo like the “Real Housewives” franchise alongside lean-back favorites like “The Office,” Universal movies and a ton of live sports. You can also pay $11.99 per month to go ad-free on Peacock and get a livestream of your local NBC station.

But Netflix doesn’t have everything, and users looking to supplement their subscription should go with Paramount+. It has an ad-supported tier for $5.99 or an ad-free plan for $11.99 which carries your local CBS station for more live news and sports. Pick whichever fits your budget best, and stream titles from Taylor Sheridan, franchises from Star Trek to Transformers to “RuPaul's Drag Race” and much more.

Round out these selections with Amazon’s Freevee if you want to stream titles like “Jury Duty” and more original TV at no extra cost, and make your bundle complete.

Best Streaming Bundle for Movie Lovers

Netflix has a Pay-1 deal with Sony to host that studio’s movies after they leave theaters, which led to top titles like “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” to stream on that service in 2023. It also has a deal with Universal to secure that studio’s movies four months after their initial streaming release, which is why “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” is available there now. Its plans start at just $6.99 for users who are willing to watch with limited ads.

To that, users should add a subscription to Prime Video for $8.99, which has 27,000 movies available and allows viewers to rent movies digitally before they even leave theaters. Prime Video Channels allow you to tack on more subscriptions to platforms like AMC+ and Shudder if you need more niche content.

Pluto TV carries classic movies like “The Shawshank Redemption” and thousands more, in case you find yourself running out of films on Prime Video and Netflix.

Cost of Netflix, Prime Video, Pluto TV Bundle: $15.98 per month and up

  • Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video is a subscription video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 10,000+ movies, TV shows, and Prime Originals like “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “Jack Ryan,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “The Boys,” and more. Subscribers can also add third-party services like Max, Showtime, STARZ, and dozens more with Amazon Prime Video Channels. Prime Video also offers exclusive live access to NFL Thursday Night Football.

The Prime Video interface shows content included with your subscription alongside the ad-supported Freevee library and some shows and movies you need to purchase, so be sure to double-check your selection before you watch.

Prime Video is included with Amazon Prime for $14.99 per month ($139 per year), or can be purchased on its own for $8.99 per month.

  • Netflix

Netflix is a subscription video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 3,000+ movies, 2,000+ TV Shows, and Netflix Originals like Stranger Things, Squid Game, The Crown, Tiger King, and Bridgerton. They are constantly adding new shows and movies. Some of their Academy Award-winning exclusives include Roma, Marriage Story, Mank, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

Netflix offers three plans — on 2 device in HD with their “Standard with Ads” ($6.99) plan, on 2 devices in HD with their “Standard” ($15.49) plan, and 4 devices in up to 4K on their “Premium” ($22.99) plan.

Netflix spends more money on content than any other streaming service meaning that you get more value for the monthly fee.

  • Pluto TV

Pluto TV is a free live TV streaming service that provides more than 350 channels of live TV and thousands of on demand movies and TV shows.

Most of what you’ll find on Pluto TV qualifies as “background television.” It’s fine to keep on while you’re scrolling on your phone or cooking something in the kitchen.

Because these aren’t traditional live TV channels, it’s not a great option for live events, news, or sports, but it’s a solid choice for cord cutters who want to supplement their other services with some “comfort food” TV. You’ll find channels dedicated to “Star Trek,” “CSI,” “Jersey Shore,” “Survivor,” and “The Amazing Race.”

Best Streaming Bundle for Sports Fans

ESPN+ is obviously the place to start here. This service carried 16 “Monday Night Football” games in 2023, and that’s just the start. It also offers a daily out-of-market MLB contest during baseball season, and houses the NHL’s out-of-market games service NHL Power Play as well. It also carries college football and basketball from all the top conferences in the NCAA. ESPN+ carries thousands of live sporting events every year for $10.99 per month.

Peacock Premium is ad-supported, but you’ll get weekly access to “Sunday Night Football,” every event of the 2024 Summer Olympics live, Big Ten football basketball games, auto racing, golf, tennis, cycling, English Premier League soccer, and more for $5.99 on this platform.

Cost of ESPN+, Peacock Premium Bundle: $16.98 per month
