Fubo Offers 14-Day Trial for Fans of 4 MLB Teams
The live TV streaming service will be advertised in several MLB stadiums this season as it tries to improve its position.
Fubo has already established itself as one of the top streaming platforms for watching Major League Baseball on the market. Now, Fubo is offering a rare 14-day trial for fans of four teams. If you live the markets for the Cleveland Guardians, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners, or Texas Rangers, you can take advantage of this deal.

Signing up through Fubo assures you access to all the in-market games on those teams’ regional sports networks.
With the huge range of regional sports networks (RSNs) available on Fubo, fans in a vast majority of MLB cities can watch their favorite team on the service, and any games broadcast in 4K by Fox are available with Fubo’s Elite plan.
The Cleveland Guardians, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers have all agreed to a marketing deal that will see Fubo ads placed in their stadiums. This will give the streamer a ton of exposure during each of these clubs’ home games, helping further cement the idea of Fubo as a leading sports streaming service in the minds of consumers. The deal will also include digital branding and fan engagement opportunities.
“Fubo is the streaming leader in Major League Baseball coverage and to further our commitment to baseball fans, we have secured marketing partnerships with prominent MLB teams for the duration of the 2024 season,” said Yale Wang, EVP of marketing, Fubo. “We are proud to offer Astros, Guardians, Mariners and Rangers fans even more ways to engage with their favorite teams as they watch baseball live on Fubo.”
Fubo has managed to expand its baseball streaming opportunities for fans even more this season. In early March, the streamer added MASN so Washington and Maryland-area fans could stream the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles. On Opening Day 2024, the streamer announced that it had reached an agreement to carry YES Network, allowing New York Yankees fans to watch the team all season long.
Is Fubo Desperate to Get its Name Out There?
In-stadium marketing deals are frequent for media companies, and as a sports-forward service Fubo is one of the most likely platforms to seek out such agreements. However, it’s hard to ignore Fubo’s current existential crisis, in the form of a joint venture sports streaming service under construction by Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery.
Fubo feels so threatened by the creation of the new sports streaming platform that has filed an antitrust lawsuit to stop it from ever reaching customers. The JV platform will reportedly offer full livestreams of 14 channels, including ABC, ESPN, Fox, FS1, TNT and a host of other sports networks. At a price point that will probably be around half of what Fubo charges every month, it’s easy to see why the platform makes Fubo executive so uneasy.
This marketing deal with four MLB clubs could be a way for Fubo to try and cement its position as the top sports streaming platform in the eyes of customers. Putting Fubo ads in baseball stadiums could serve as a reminder to viewers that the service carries a wide range of RSNs, which offer the vast majority of an MLB team’s games in a given season. RSNs are the home of every MLB game not broadcast on Fox, TBS or MLB Network, and the JV platform won’t be carrying any of these channels as of now. The new marketing deal between Fubo and its four MLB partners may be a subtle reminder to fans about that fact.
At the very least, this deal will help put Fubo’s name out there at a time when it feels its struggle for relevancy has never been more acute. Fans of the Astros, Guardians, Mariners and Rangers should be on the lookout for details on how to score a free trial of Fubo, and will almost certainly notice the streamer’s ads in their team’s stadium during home games this year.
