Fubo Announces Deal with TEGNA for Stations in Dallas, Denver, and Seattle
The deal will allow viewers to stream Seattle Kraken games, as well as the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets.
As a Denver-area sports fan, I had more access than most to the outrage that arose earlier this week when the Denver Nuggets played their first game of the season on local broadcast channels. DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo subscribers were outraged that they had no access to the game, but at least one of those services is attempting to remedy the situation. Fubo announced today it has a new carriage deal with TEGNA that will allow it to carry KTVD in Denver, as well as KFAA in Dallas and KONG in Seattle, giving fans more access to their favorite teams.
Key Details:
- KTVD will carry 20 games from the Nuggets and Avalanche in Denver.
- KONG delivers non-national Kraken games to Seattle-area fans.
- KFAA airs Mavericks games not appearing on national channels in Dallas.

The new deal means that Fubo is now able to carry KFAA, KONG, and KTVD in their respective markets, expanding its live sports access. In Denver, that means Fubo customers can now watch any Colorado Avalanche or Nuggets games airing on KTVD; the channel will stream 20 games from each team as the season goes along, while the rest will air on Altitude or on national sports networks like ESPN and TNT.
In Dallas, the deal means that Fubo customers can stream all non-national contests from the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs left Bally Sports Southwest (now named FanDuel Sports Network Southwest) in August, and will play all games not appearing on national channels on KFAA in the Dallas area.
The Seattle Kraken announced back in April that they were also leaving a cable-based regional sports network in favor of local broadcast channels, including KONG. Now, Fubo customers living in the broadcast footprint of KONG will be able to stream the channel.
“We’re thrilled to enhance access for viewers and fans through our partnership with Fubo,” TEGNA SVP Brad Ramsey said. “By leveraging Fubo’s innovative platform and our dedication to collaborating with premier NBA and NHL teams in our markets, we’re committed to ensuring fans never miss a moment of the action.”
These channel additions were key pickups for Fubo, which prides itself on offering the most sports coverage of any live TV service. It’s likely the new channels will be available in Fubo’s Pro package alongside other regional sports channels; those plans start at $95 per month including the regional sports network fee.
Fubo
Fubo is a live TV streaming service with about 90 top channels that start at $79.99 per month. This plan includes local channels, 19 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs). In total, you should expect to pay about $94.99 per month, after adding in their RSN Fee. Fubo was previously known as “fuboTV.”
