As for this weekend’s matchups, we’ve got two highly-ranked programs looking to avoid upsets on the road. No. 15 Texas A&M finished second in the SEC last season and is already 1-0 after defeating Texas A&M-Commerce, 78-46, on Monday. Meanwhile, the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated Oakland, 79-73, in their season-opener on Monday and enter this season following a surprising semifinal run in last year’s Big Ten Tournament.

Next UTSA will visit the Barn to take on the Gophers at 7:30 p.m. and then the Hawkeyes will host Alabama State at 8 p.m.

In the nightcap, No. 9 Tennessee, which finished 25-11 last season and reached the Sweet Sixteen as a No. 4 seed, opened its season with an 80-48 victory over Tennessee Tech earlier this week. Meanwhile, the Badgers made it to the NIT semifinals in 2022-23 and enter this game following a dominant 105-76 win over Arkansas State in their first game of the year.
