What is the Difference Between FanDuel Sports Network, FanDuel TV, and FanDuel TV+?

The regional sports channels previously known as Bally Sports have been rebranded as part of the FanDuel Sports Network. But there’s also a FanDuel TV+ and FanDuel TV. We’ll explain the differences between these names and which one you need to watch your favorite sports teams.

Clearing Up the Confusion

Most people are looking for FanDuel Sports Network. This name can refer to a standalone sports streaming service. Or it can refer to a linear regional sports network (with names like FanDuel Sports Network Detroit or FanDuel Sports Network South).

If you want the FanDuel linear networks along with other channels, your only options are DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo.

If you only want a standalone service for $19.99 / month, you can get the FanDuel Sports Network streamer. With this, you cannot watch nationally televised games or out-of-market contests, but you’ll get dozens of in-market games when subscribed.

Whether you choose the standalone streamer or the linear networks via DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo, these FanDuel Sports Network options will give you in-market games from 13 NBA teams, 8 NHL teams, and 8 MLB teams.

There’s also a linear TV channel called FanDuel TV. This channel mostly features horse races and betting shows. It can be added for an additional fee with these live TV providers: DIRECTV STREAM, DIRECTV Via Internet, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV

Finally, there’s another streaming service called FanDuel TV+. This offers the FanDuel TV channel with (importantly, not the regional sports networks), FanDuel TV Extra, which allows you to bet in real-time on international basketball, soccer, darts, and more, FanDuel Racing for horse races and TVG Racebook, which offers live horse racing.

So if you’re looking for NBA, NHL, or MLB games, you need FanDuel Sports Network, DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo

I know the names are confusing. Unless you love gambling or horse racing, just look for FanDuel Sports Network and ignore the other two.

What Teams Can You Watch on FanDuel Sports Network?

As long as you live near the broadcast area of these teams, you will be able to watch live games.

NBA NHL MLB
Atlanta Hawks Carolina Hurricanes Atlanta Braves

Indiana Pacers Minnesota Wild Los Angeles Angels
LA Clippers Nashville Predators Miami Marlins

Again, to access these games, choose the standalone FanDuel Sports Network streamer or DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo. You cannot watch them with FanDuel TV or FanDuel TV+. These channels are also not available on live TV streamers like Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV.

What Does FanDuel Sports Network Cost?

FanDuel Sports Network is $19.99 / month. You can save with the annual plan for $189.99 / year. A Season Pass is available for $124.99.

In some areas, you may have access to more than one FanDuel market. If so, you can bundle the two for $29.99/month.

Can You Watch FanDuel Sports Network for Free?

Yes! Give it a try free for 7 days. You can also access the channels free with a trial of DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo.

What Does it Cost to Get the FanDuel TV Channel?

If you want FanDuel TV (remember, that one doesn’t have live NBA, MLB, or NHL), it comes as part of add-on sports packages with various providers.

FanDuel TV + $15 + $15 - + $10 - - - + $11

What Does FanDuel TV+ Cost?

FanDuel TV+ is free. You just need a FanDuel account to log in.

Is There One Platform with All the FanDuel Content?

Unfortunately, no. The closest thing would be DIRECTV STREAM, which offers FanDuel Sports Network linear channels where available and the option to add FanDuel TV, but you can’t use it to access FanDuel TV+.

Which Should I Choose?

For the huge majority of people, the standalone FanDuel Sports Network streamer or a full TV package with DIRECTV STREAM makes the most sense.

If you’re a hardcore gambler, the other options like FanDuel TV and FanDuel TV+ might make sense.

FanDuel Sports Network

FanDuel Sports Network is a direct-to-consumer streaming service that offers live games for those who want access to your local FanDuel Sports Network RSN without subscribing to a cable or satellite package.

The service has two plans: a monthly plan for $19.99 a month, or an annual plan for $189.99 per year ($15.83/mo pre-paid annually), after a 7-Day Free Trial.

In areas where fans have access to more than one FanDuel Sports Network sports network, an optional bundle allows the addition of a second channel. The monthly total for two RSNs is $29.99/month.

With the service, you can stream your local games from 13 NBA teams, 8 NHL teams, and 8 MLB teams. See the list below.

The service is only intended for those who live in-market to their local teams. If you live out-of-market, you will need to subscribe to MLB.TV (MLB), ESPN+ (NHL), or NBA League Pass (NBA).
